  1. Many thanks for your help guys, I've PM'd joeri as its only fair as he replied first - Thank you Sava for replying back too though. Kind regards, Bobby
  2. Hi guys, I'm hoping to officially launch my VA on the first of January and did have the following aircraft textures on order from an established repainting service (I won't mention their name though as I don't want to cause any trouble) but in the last 22 days I've only recieved the PA A319 but I am running out of time now and would really like them done ASAP. I am whilling to pay $40 for the following repaints:- Payware aircraft 1x Wilco A319 1x Wilco A320 1x Aerosoft AirbusX A320 Freeware aircraft Project Airbus A320 iFDG A320 I already have the design that I want and have a PSD file with drag and drop items on it such as the logo I want on the fuselage and the colour code for the engines... Its a simple design and I just need someone to know what they are doing to drop the elements onto the aircraft texture and save so I can supply them on my website for my new VA members. - Obviously I want the quality of the repaint to be good quality... I hear that using FSPainter is poor quality compared to using Photoshop etc. If you are interested and serious about doing this for me please reply to this post with your email address or PM me so I can send you over the font file, PSD drag and drop file and the layout jpeg (showing you where the elements from the PSD (Photoshop) file should be placed on the aircraft. Many thanks, Bobby
  3. Yeah, I'm game... Sounds like a good idea
  4. Cheers Nabeel :-) Personally I too use the CUI, I'm a hardcore FreeBSD fan but also run a number of CentOS and Ubuntu Servers too.. It isn't supposed to be pronounced 'zee-panel' but actually 'zed-panel' - I'm English - This is a common misunderstanding - The idea being that we are the other end of the alphabet so you have the paid panels eg. DirectAdmin, cPanel etc. etc. and then at the other end of the spectrum you have ZPanel (open-source) The project has been running for many years and I would have thought that if cPanel had a problem before now they would have contacted us - If they do have a problem we don't mind changing the name although admittedly it would be annoying and a mass amount of work to change domain names etc. etc. - The project is open-source so I assume that cPanel don't see it as a threat Cheers, Bobby
  5. Ok Vincent - I'm at work at the moment but I'll try and take a look over the weekend!
  6. Man, that is so poo!! - I too was watching video's of Microsoft Flight the other night and didn't see one airliner... Like Vanity says, I doubt they are even going to include airliners, it looks as if they are simply going for low altitude VFR only... (hence the attention to landscape detail I suppose)
  7. Ok excellent, glad you got it all working in the end No problem Vansers, Hope you enjoy using it and find it useful Hey tutmeister, Wow - that is strange lol :-) - I live in Ipswich so Wattisham is literally like 15 mins from my house lol - I assume you lived in Ipswich too when you was based at Wattisham or somewhere like Stowmarket etc? Well I'm glad you've all found the link useful Cheers guys, Bobby
  8. Ok buddy, Looking at the issue I would assume its file permissions not allowing it to create the folder on the D: drive (are you trying to write to a file in the root of the D: drive?) but yeah, take it over to our forums... lets try and keep the phpVMS forums clean
  9. Glad its all working ok for you now UKMil Regarding data on another drive, this has been answered numerous times on our support forums buddy, probably best to check them out to save me typing and also to not clutter up the phpVMS forums. (http://forums.zpanelcp.com/) - basically though, the change will only apply to new domains you add, you can either delete and re-create your current domain (vhost) to make the change take effect OR you can manually edit the httpd-vhosts.conf file and ammend the file path (new domains and sub-domains will have the correct path in future though, its just becuase your domain was created prior to the hostdata path change in the CP.). BTW if anyone else wants to try out our demo server: http://demo.zpanelcp.com/
  10. Hi UKMil, Was the domain (VHOST) showing as 'live' or 'pending' in the 'Domain' nmodule? - If it was showing as 'pending' it means that the deamon.php cron task hasn't yet run which reloads the Apache configuration so that the domain becomes live. - This takes a maximum of an hour, this can be run manually too but ZPanel is designed to be run by ISP's which is why the default is at 1 hour. Hope this helps, Bobby
  11. Hi tutmeister, Well ZPanel runs on pretty much the same software stack that cPanel does... Apache, PHP, MySQL also uses Postfix and Dovecot for mail services and ProFTPd for FTP. - Therefore generally the same I'd say a clean 'minimal' install of CentOS running ZPanel and all the services that it installs would use approx 100MB of RAM I definitely say that ZPanel runs much faster than cPanel as we haven't bloated it up or anything - If you wanted you could even remove Postfix, Dovecot and ProFTP after installation (probably want to remove the modules for Mail and FTP too from ZPanel) to reduce the resource footprint and surface attack area further then just use SSH to login and transfer files etc.... then you'll have a speedy GUI control panel that already comes with phpMyAdmin and a super simple way to setup Cron jobs, create MySQL databases, create additional sub-domains, configure backups and even manage DNS enties all via the control panel. Cheers, Bobby
  12. Hi guys, Just thought I'd post about my open-source project of which I am the head developer and project leader on, ZPanel which is written in PHP and supported on Windows, Linux and UNIX is an opensource alternative to the likes of cPanel and various other control panels. The latest version 6.1.1 is fully tested on Ubuntu 10.04, CentOS 5.2 and FreeBSD 8.2 as well as all versions of Microsoft Windows. Maybe this may be of some help to some people out there that are thinking about purchasing a VPS for running their VA on but don't have that much experience with Linux or FreeBSD or simply don't have the money to rent a Windows VPS. I'm not spamming the forums to try and get users, the project already has a mass amount of users - I just thought that this may help some people The website is: http://www.zpanelcp.com/ - Loads of modules and other useful information can be found on the site and forums A demo installation of the Control Panel can be accessed here (so you can see what it looks like and how it works etc.):- http://demo.zpanelcp.com/ Cheers, Bobby
  13. Ah ok cheers mseiwald - I only fly in Europe so I didn't even twig it was an ICAO code... I'm used to LEXX, LIXX, EGXX, EHXX etc. etc lol Ok so basically then Cloudva... You only have a single hub yes and that being Dubai? - My programming experience is really with PHP and C... I would actually recommend that what you want to do her is create a small JavaScript snippet using the 'onSelect' action to trigger an update on the 'Arrival' (to hide the other airports and only display dubai) drop-down menu and vice-versa... I will see what I can do for you but JavaScript isn't really my thing, using something like jQuery may be better but again, this is something that I have little experience with.
  14. Hi Vincent, What do you mean by 'OMDB'? - I'll happily look into this for you as I am thinking of using the same module on my new site too. Have you made any other changes to the code or should I just download the link above and then send you the amended code? - If you've made other alterations to the module code maybe you could zip up the files and attach them to the thread so I can ensure that what I send you back will work with your setup. I'll wait to hear back with regards to what you mean by 'OMDB' Cheers, Bobby
  15. Thanks very much Sava, I think I have it all sorted now
  16. Thats good to know that I'm not alone - Ok cool, I see from your URL above that I assume that you've only just changed it this month? Cheers for the reply itrobb
  17. Hi tylerj, I would assume that you would need to implement a web service using the CondonWebService class and methods within and then from their you could pass back your username/password to validate against the web service and then return true or false based on a successful or failed login attempt. - You don't actually need to ever send the actual password back you just need to validate it obviously I assume that is how its all done, I'm a developer during the day but I haven't had a chance to look into all of the code of phpVMS as yet as I've only really just started using it. I would recommend that you look in the Modules folder and check out the current ACARS modules (XACARS, kACARS_Free and I think FSPAX) to see how they make use of transferring data between phpVMS and the remote ACARS client software. Hope this helps, Bobby
  18. Thanks for your reply TAV1702 - That would be great if you could dig it out and share with me
  19. Hi guys, I know this is a bit broad but I was wondering how most of you VA owners configure your flight prices against your fuel prices. For example, this evening I did a flight from Stansted to Jersey and lost £8,000 due to fuel prices to that of the ticket prices. I ideally want to setup my VA to have realistic finances, I believe that the live fuel prices only work in the US and as my VA is only going to fly within the EU I assume that I cannot use the fuel prices so could someone recommend a good or semi realistic fuel price to setup in phpVMS. At the moment I left it as the automatic 5.10 but changed my fuel measurement to KG maybe this has something to do with it? Is 5.10 per LB roughly ok? - Also do some people have a rough calculation they use for working out the price per flight? Something like £10 per person per 100nmi? I also assume that the kACARS software will convert for example LBS of fuel burn (if set-up in the kACARS system) to be converted to the equivalent once the PIREP has been sent to phpVMS (ie. it will be converted to what the phpVMS system is configured to use eg. KG)? Any help would be greatly appreciated Many thanks, Bobby
  20. Ok cheers Nighthawk, I haven't got around to looking into it yet but I plan to sort it out some time this week
  21. Ok thanks mseiwald, maybe someone else could just confirm this then (that it doesn't matter what is in the fields - doesn't affect the way that phpVMS works etc)
  22. Hey guys, Just wondered what should be put in the fields named 'Weight' and 'Cruise' in the 'Add aircraft' part of the admin section. Should it be the weight of the aircraft unloaded or should it be the MTOW? I assume that the 'Cruise' field should contain the cruise speed in Mach? eg. '.78'? If the two fields don't affect the way that the phpVMS software works to calculate fuel costs etc. then I assume it doesn't matter what I put in there but clarification would be great. Look forward to hearing back from someone hopefully soon If you don't know what I mean above, I have attached a screenshot of the fields that I am talking about. Cheers, Bobby
  23. Ok great Nighthawk, I'll try and find the download link and I'll try and add the fix in there for you too Cheers, Bobby
  24. Ok thanks for the heads up itrobb, I assume however if he has created it for his own use then maybe some others may be interested in me making it for public domain use?
  25. Sorry, I seemed to have posted this in the wrong forum.. please feel free to move as required.
