Does the aircraft icon show the direction in FS Acars, or is that a future function? Mine shows the same icon direction. but I see there are different icons for every possible direction. Am I missing something?? (probably am )

It should be showing the heading, yes. FSACARS doesn’t report it, so I just try to calculate it
Ok, I can NEVER see any change to direction to the icon. It always points SSE it seems. I have seen other sites show a different direction, so I assume I must be missing something here?!!?
I took a peek at "http://citybird-va.ccvagroup.org/index.php/acars" and their a/c shows a correct direction. Any ideas?
yes indeed
thay use xacars or fsflightkeeper to track the flight

For FSACARS, it doesn’t supply a heading so I have to calculate it, so it was always point towards the destination airport’s coordinates
Ok, so Xacars is a better option then?! I used it before, but it kept crashing my FSX.
Honestly, both XAcars and FSACARS are flaky. Xacars gives better flight tracking, but not flight logs. FSACARS gives great logs, but crappy tracking. I use FS Flight Keeper, it works much better.
Yes, I agree…FS Flight Keeper is awesome for that, but a lot of people DO NOT use it unfortunately.
