Getting Started.

Hello,

About 2 years ago I had phpVMS v2.1.935, it all stopped working with my web provider. I would like to get it all set backup again, but I don’t know what I need to get started.

My website provider has PHP version 5.6.36 and MySQL Version 10.1.33-MariaDB. 

Please, what do I need to get started? What Version of phpVMS would work for me?

 

P.S. I’m be no means an expert programmer. I’m ok with HTML and CSS, I do not know php or java.

With php5.6 you will need SimPilots phpVMS5.5 - https://github.com/DavidJClark/phpvms_5.5.x

Eventually you will need to upgrade to php7 or 7.1. phpVMS 7 should be released sometime this year.

Next question, which of the acars client can I use with phpVMS5.5?

With 5.6 and up, I’d probably use https://github.com/nabeelio/phpvms_v2 It works on PHP 5.6+, and I’m backporting the recaptcha and google maps fixes into it
