I got it installed but for some reason i got all this scripting come up at the top of the screen and also when i fill out a registration form, it says “Could not open socket”. The page is here:
THis is a server issue…trust me, been there. Contact your server by phone, don’t waste your time in the live chat rooms. Ask the tech to view your site so he can see the error. It’s a scripting error that your site server can repair while your on the phone. Has to do with your index.php the site may not be setup for the .php extension properly.
Would using a different host fix this problem if i switched (still using free hosting)?
Free hosting generally has a lot of issues when it comes to dynamic php/mysql driven sites. Basic html static sites seem to perform ok on most free hosts but you will find a some decent paid server space, even if it is a shared server is better than a free host.
Free hosts give limited services, and php is one, they are usually using older versions of php also.
Okay i will see if there is any way for my host to fix it if not, im getting paid
