Hi phpVMS people,
I am always on the go, and when I get a moment, it would be great if I could do some work on my airline, but the iPhone will not let me type anything on that page.
My main question is: Can an app be made for the iPhone to manage phpVMS? I can do most of the coding, but the connection is where I could use some help.

That would been a good idea, since I have XCode that develops Iphone Apps. but I’m a noob.
I’m just learning php and C++ very slowly.
I could make an iPhone skin for the admin panel (work on some kind of automagic detection too) and you could add it to the home screen as a web app…
You dont need any special code, just skin it, and let it detect when you’re on a mobile device.
Doesn’t the iphone show normal websites with no problem anyway?? I have the mytouch 4G and it shows the admin panel just fine.

It renders things fine, but it’s pretty small when you’re trying to use inputs and forms, as with any mobile device. Hence why people are increasingly developing mobile compatible versions of their sites.
Actually, I can’t type anything into editor boxes for Pages, News, etc. I can edit in Source code mode but it does not scroll down
A mobile page with auto-detect would be great 
I started building a mobile portion for PHPVMS admin panel (don’t know how good it will turn out but we will see)
Any Specific pages that I should Include. I was thinking: Dashboard, Pilot Registrations, Pirep Admin, Awards, and Ranks/..

If you want to do an iPhone admin skin that’s cool, I’m getting Xcode Friday so I’ll attempt to make an actual app if there’s still a demand?
Well an actual app would be irrelevant i would say, because making a PHP detection and then having a skin for the admin so it can act as in app that would be easier i think. The iphone already has an option to save a page like an app icon.
