Is this possible?

I’m trying to add a basic hit counter to the main index.php page of our VA but i’m having no luck. I have a basic php counter installed but I can’t seem to imbed it to the site.

Thanks in advance,

You could use google analytics will return you a lot more information than a hit counter.

Yeah I know this but GA interferes with our live map and FSPax uploading so it’s a no-go. Thx anyway.

It shouldn’t interfere - where are you adding it? If you place it in your footer.tpl file in your skin, it won’t interfere with those pages

Well, I had to disable GA through my hosting provider because it was interfering with the whole site, specifically the map and uploads (it was adding bunches of code onto outputs). Is there a way to do it without using GA entirely?

Using GA or your own hit counter, if you add it to the footer.tpl file in your skin, it should work properly and not interfere with those other pages

Okay, but how do I embed the counter? the only referance i have is in javascript which is just gonna return an ‘unexpected <’ error or something i’m sure

you could do with this one its a verry nice one and it gives a ;lot off data.

i also have it embedded in my website but i don’t use a vissible counter i look at the data provided from from their website

Which counter are you trying to use? There are many different ones, you have to follow their instructions.

I’ve come up with a cunning plan thanks for the input. Your the man

Yep , as Nabeel says

use on footer.tpl , I do use there with GA and no problems so far (because GA itself)

(great reports)
