Linux Mint 22.3 — vmsACARS 3.0.0-nightly.581 crashes on startup

Hello vmsACARS development team,

I am reporting a startup crash with vmsACARS on Linux Mint 22.3.

System information

  • OS: Linux Mint 22.3 (64-bit)

  • Application: vmsACARS 3.0.0-nightly.581 (linux-x64)

  • Package: vmsacars-linux-x64-nightly.AppImage

Problem
The application starts but crashes after a few seconds. It also crashes when launched with --help.

Error message

System.TypeInitializationException:
The type initializer for 'Avalonia.Controls.Gtk.AvaloniaGtk' threw an exception.

System.InvalidOperationException:
A resolver is already set for the assembly.

The stack trace shows the failure occurs while initializing the GTK/WebView component:

Avalonia.Controls.Gtk.AvaloniaGtk.TryGetVersion()

I have confirmed that the following system libraries are installed:

  • GTK 3

  • WebKitGTK 4.1

  • libsoup 3.0

The same error occurs when launching the AppImage from both Downloads and the Desktop.

Could you please investigate this Linux startup issue and advise whether a fixed build or workaround is available?

I can provide the complete startup log and additional diagnostics if needed.
