I typed in my site URL and to view my page, it loaded, i tried to click on a nav button to surf my site, it would let me click it but it wouldnt navigate to the page it would remain on the HP (home page)

Need some more information - what version? Did you modify the templates? And a link to your site?
XAMPP has some weird settings. Sometimes it’s due to PHP running as CGI instead of a module (that’s what I’ve seen at least). Also, many of the Javascript/AJAX functionality won’t work as it’s off of localhost, and the browser restricts that
