Is there anywhere I can check the status of vaCentral? My VA has over 6,000 PIREPs waiting to be sent and I wanted to check if vaCentral was up and it’s an actual error on my end or if vaCentral isn’t up and running right now.
vacentral has been dead for a while.. but there’s an alternative now, which is actually better:

Thanks for letting me know about this. I’ve made the changes to use this, but I keep getting an “authentication failed” error from the server when trying to send PIREPs. Ideas?
Go in your local.config.php and under the VACentral, change true to false. That will stop showing the pireps needing to be sent on your admin side.

Thanks for this suggestion, but I would prefer to send our info to VirtualAirlines.EU if possible.

two conditions must be met:

you must change the apikey in your config file. If you have done this and it still doesn’t work, please PM me with the relevant lines in your config file
-
The site_url variable in your config file must be exactly the same as the one you specified in your control panel at virtualairlines.eu
if it still doesn’t work just PM me and we’ll figure it out.

This fixed it for me. Also, a majority of my PIREPs are exporting fine, but I still have a handful of them that fail when trying to send. Any ideas/recommendations?

Splendid! As for the pireps that don’t send, how many are they?
I had 62,000+ PIREPs to send, so that’s taking a while. I don’t have an exact count, but I would estimate every 15-20th PIREP is failing. If I restart the sending process, they still fail, too.
well 62000 is a huuuuge amount and the engine can’t handle it all in one go. remember that in normal operations you’d send just a few at at time.
If you want you could export it to a CSV and mail it to me?
That’s a fair point. I’ll let it finish exporting as much as it can, and then I’ll see if I can get those failed ones to go.
I had it too when I exported the pireps from my own airline, and to be honest I’m not sure how I resolved it *blush*. But if 5% of your pireps cant be exported, itll be around 3000 of them so I’ll have to find some solution

I have 2x Va’s which I tried to join today and havent received a confirmation that ive even attempted to get an account. Is this manually done or auto-generated confirmation email?

The email is generated automatically, but this wasn’t the problem. The problem was that I recently installed SSL and the captcha was loading on a non-secure connection (http) so chrome and probably other browsers, didn’t display the captcha.
I have now remedied this issue and you should see the captcha. Once you create the account you will see a message your account was created and you get an email (check your spam) sorry for the inconvenience!
Mischka, all of the sudden I’m not able to export the remaining 20,000 PIREPs or so. Every time I click on “Export to vaCentral”, it just loads and loads. It never gives me an error or failed message either. Any idea why this might be?
