Welcome to AirCrewCentral Virtual Airlines — a global community for MSFS 2020 & 2024 pilots. Fly passengers or cargo with modern tracking and active events!
Thanks for the question, and sorry - I answered you by private message instead of here, so here is the answer for everyone.
ACCContracts is our own in-house module, written specifically for AirCrewCentral. It started as a contract board and grew into a set of features built on top of phpVMS 7, the Disposable modules and SPTheme. Together with two smaller in-house modules (ACCAcademy and ACCWiki) this is what it does:
CONTRACT BOARD
Cargo and passenger contracts generated from each airline’s home base and refreshed every 4 hours
Single legs and multi-leg chains with deadlines. Seats, payload and range come from the fleet register, so a contract never asks for more than the aircraft can carry
Pay depends on aircraft category, chain length and rare destinations. Harder contracts unlock with pilot reputation, which grows with completed flights
PILOT ECONOMY
Hourly pay by rank and a personal pilot balance
Training is paid the way it works in real life: the first type rating is sponsored by the airline, later ones are shared between pilot and airline depending on reputation, in exchange for bond hours
Store add-ons, for example a profit filter that shows $/hour on every contract
TRAINING ACADEMY (ACCAcademy)
Type rating courses: theory, online exam, practical flights, checkride, certificate
Practical flights are checked automatically against the real PIREP: aircraft type, block time and distance
The type rating is granted automatically, is valid for 12 months and is renewed through an annual proficiency check. Pilots see their licences and expiry dates on their profile and get a warning 30 days before
FLIGHT DATA MONITORING
A landing analysis card on every PIREP: touchdown rate, touchdown point, crosswind (from METAR) and landing configuration
A personal FDM page with recent landings. If a pilot keeps exceeding the same limit, the academy recommends training
A hard landing grounds the aircraft for an inspection, and the cost is charged to the airline
MAPS AND WEATHER
A live route network map on the flights page: click an airport to see its departures, with aircraft currently in the air
A Taxi & Traffic map with live traffic and weather layers, plus winds aloft by flight level for the whole world (GFS data, 150 NM grid) to help pick a cruise level
OTHER
An entry test at registration, with answers checked on the server
A wiki (ACCWiki) whose tables - course prices, exam rules, landing limits, rank ladder - are built live from the database, so the documentation never goes out of date
Page banners built from live data, and a fleet showcase drawn to a single scale
All of it is still tightly tied to our own setup - our airlines, fleet codes and theme - so it can’t simply be dropped into another VA. Cleaning it up for general use is a good idea, and I’ll look into it. Feel free to have a look around www.aircrewcentral.com.
