I encountered a 500 error when visiting the website I set up today, and I don't know where the problem lies

Can you tell me the reason? How should I investigate and resolve this issue

Check the laravel log file.
Look for any errors in that file.

Look in /storage/logs in your phpVMS folder.

This is not a phpVMS (or Laravel) error, looks like it is the webserver itself.

httpd logs or php error should be inspected. Most probably the server itself is not configured properly or not compatible at all.
