CXA001
Five years ago, a small group of dedicated flight simulator enthusiasts, found themselves looking for a new place to call home. Lots of ideas went back and forth and four months later with the simple slogan Fly Virtually Anywhere!, Canadian Xpress was born. In those short five years, Canadian Xpress has grown from a small start-up virtual airline with more aircraft than pilots, to a well known virtual airline within the online flight simulator community, hosting more than a hundred events a year, and currently the only VATSIM Canadian virtual airline authorized training organization (ATO) that allows us to train, evaluation and issue VATSIM P1 & P2 pilot ratings. All this hard work hasn't gone unnoticed as in early 2013, Canadian Xpress was named Sky Blue Radio's virtual airline of the year. Today, Canadian Xpress has approximately 200 pilots, a fleet of 53 aircraft, over 65,000 flights and is managed by a team of 16 virtual pilots that range from real world commercial pilots to VATSIM/IVAO network supervisors and ATC instructors. To celebrate our 5 years of operation, Canadian Xpress is going on a year long tour that consists of 13 legs and a 38,739 nautical mile trip around the world where on the first of each month, we'll announce a new route and a new destination. The Canadian Xpress 5 Year Anniversary World Tour starts at our headquarters in Montreal where our pilots will pick up one of our new Boeing C-17 Globemaster III aircraft which is available to all pilots regardless of rank but only for the tour and begin your journey around the world. Join Canadian Xpress today by visiting http://CanadianXpress.ca and help us celebrate 5 years of Flying Virtually Anywhere! *Canadian Xpress accepts 50% of your VATSIM, IVAO or other virtual airline hours with no limits.
