I have started my VA last week and am trying to work out how to get pilots.

So far to market it I have:

• Placed A Link On Flightsim.com
  
• Registered with VA Central
  
• E-Mailed Around My FSX Using Friends.

I have also submitted my site to Google but another question I have is how do you add meta tags to phpVMS.

That option isn't available using that module. You must use the same aircraft with the same registration.

Is there any other moduel in which you can do this.

Is there any way to make it so it when a pilot lands at an airfield (take heathrow for example) the next flight out he takes instead of the aircraft being specified in the route it chooses the aircraft from the ones located at that airfield.

Unless you are using simpilots realschedulelite module, your aircraft will not get stuck at any airport.

After setting up my phpvms I have created my scheduels in csv format and have enclosed a screenshot below. What I want to know is if the aircraft will get stuck at their destination airport and not be able to return, in the below screenshot is my csv file (or a bit of it anyway.

If the aircraft would get stuck at their destination airport does anybody know of an add on for phpvms that instead of allocating an aircraft for a flight chooses any aircraft at the departure airport for a flight. If you do not know of an existing add on does anybody know how to create one.

Just out of interest, with the above csv would the aircraft be stuck at there destination and if so what would I do about it?

Referring to the above csv (there's no screenshot):

distance: must be a number. Leave blank to calculate.

deptime & arrtime: must be a time, format HH:MM, e.g. 12:34

flighttime: must be a number, I believe in the format H.MM, e.g. 1.5

How would I set it up if I wanted not to put in the flight time in as you dont know how quickly the pilots are going to fly the flights.

I would also want to set the dept. and arri. as "anytime" or nothing so the flight can be flown anytime.

Having taken your advice above I have removed the .'s but now when I install it comes up with the following message (see screenshot) please help.

I have added the following things to save time, are they affecting anything.

• The word "Anytime" in departure Time
  
• The word "Anytime" arival Time
  
• The word use calc in flighttime colum
  

The revised CSV file is also inclosed.

When I look at your .csv file, it is showing me that your Aircraft is typed like this...

try removing the decimal (.) after the aircraft name and try uploading it again.

You have loads of trailing "."'s in multiple fields - remove those.

After opening it in my excel (Microsoft Excel 2007) I cannot see the trailing ""'s, what should I do?

I have tried to upload a schedule from a CSV file using the "Import Schedules" button (see attached file) and have created 1 B737-800 using phpvms and the spelling is all the same as in the CSV file and when I import it it comes up with the message " the aircraft B737-800. does not exist"

Please help as my VA is now live.

[How to e-mail pilots.]

I have tried to e-mail all pilots using the button in the admin centre but when I click send after writing the e-mail it does not send (i know this because the e-amil did not come through to the e-mail address on my test account.)

Does anyone have any ideas of how to fix this?

Hi,

Does anyone know (either in the admin panel or by modifying code) how to "Copy and Paste" aircraft in your fleet. I am creating a simple VA operating 4 different types of aircraft:

-Boeing 747-400

-Boeing 737-800

-Bombardier CRJ-700

-Beechcraft King Air.

What I aim to do is run a fleet of about 10 of each. Would this be possible without the very boring task of creating 40 aircraft in the admin panel. I have already created one of each of the above but any assistance you could give would be most appreciated!
