Moderators Kyle Posted April 3, 2010 Moderators Report Posted April 3, 2010 Hey, i got a question. I want to install windows 7 in my vista machine but i made a Partition for windows 7 so i can keep my vista. But the question is, will there be problems that is conflicting windows vista to windows 7. becasue that i made a partition. Also can i chose manually which windows i want to run? Anything else i need to know about it. Quote
Tom Posted April 3, 2010 Report Posted April 3, 2010 The partition will keep them completely separate - as if it were two separate hard disks. And when you start the system it will ask you which you want to boot. If you leave it it'll pick for you (the top on the list - probably Vista) 1 Quote
Moderators mark1million Posted April 3, 2010 Moderators Report Posted April 3, 2010 You can just install over vista, upgrade option which keeps all your files, Windows 7 is 1000 times better than vista, if i was you id ditch vista and go with the upgrade. 1 Quote
Tom Posted April 3, 2010 Report Posted April 3, 2010 Problems with the upgrade method... 1. It installs slow. 2. It runs slow. If you want the best from W7 install it fresh. 2 Quote
