2 questions (schedules & live map)

Hi !

First, thanks a lot for phpVms which is very interesting and user-friendly and in advance sorry for my English, I'm french.

I have installed phpVms and actually, I'm using kAcars. kAcars is a great software (stable & user-friendly too).

Everything is OK, but during the flight, my live map displays the flight but not the current position of the aircraft, you know, the

blue icon with an airplane. There is something I have missed ?

The other question (sorry if someone already ask it) : A schedule MUST be associated with ONE aircraft ? How can I do to allow my pilots

to use A320 or B737 or another aircraft on the schedule AF124 (Madrid / Paris for example) ?

as for the second with the schedules, this is what i did to give some freedom to pilots: I entered 3 types of aircraft, Small,Medium,Heavy with registration SMA,MED,HVY and each schedule is associated with one of these "aircrafts". This means the pilot can choose any medium aircraft to make the flight, and then i edit every pirep in the admin panel to enter the correct aircraft used. Of course, a total list of aircrafts with correct registration is added too, so that i can then choose from this list when edit.

did you test it whith an other acars program and i don't know iff it still is but kacars takes some time to bee seen on the website.

are you using the crystal template or a modified.

Thanks Tnick, It's a pretty good idea, if my pilot put in comment the real aircraft, I'll be able to do the same thing than you by editing the PIREP.

For the Live Map, I have tried kAcars only and my skin is the default crystal without any modifications.

During the flight, the acars in the database with kAcars give without problem the long / lat so, is kAcars compatible with the Google map ?

I am the developer of kACARS and can answer both questions.

1. Be sure that you have the correct module for the correct version of phpVMS. What version of phpVMS are you running right now? Also the current version of kACARS takes 1 minutes to upload the first live update information ( this will be changed in the next version)\

2. The next version that is currently in testing will allow a pilot to choose which aircraft from your fleet that they wish to fly on the route. Even if the route is set to fly with a B737 but you have a B747 in your fleet the pilot would be able to choose the B747 to fly that route.

"Merci beaucoup" for your answer ! I'm using phpvms 2.0.854 version and I have download the module kAcars_Free.php on your website, perhaps, you can give me the link to the php module in order to verify if I didn't take the right one.

In fact, I have done a new install with the last release of phpvms and I'm currently using kAcars 1.0.0.5 Beta and the beta version php module too.

It's working perfectly !
