Jeff
The default Boeing 737-800 in FSX doesn't use the correct amount of fuel. I believe it is using twice as much fuel as it is supposed to be. Which setting do I change in the aircraft.cfg file so I can fix this problem? tutmeister
You'll need to edit the aircraft.cfg for the 737_800. If you're burning twice as much as you should, halving it should fix it. So in it, change fuel_flow_scalar from 1 to 0.5; however, I've read that anywhere from 0.5 to 0.76 is the correct figure. Just mess with it and note your fuel burn over a couple of flights and edit accordingly. You'll soon have it set where it needs to be.

Also, you might want to try the freeware enhancements to the default 737-800 listed in this thread over at AVSIM.
