  1. Servetas - from what I'm learning you have to parse the data from one of these sources and store it. I think the process of acquiring the data would be similar to simpilot's Data Reader, but I'll have to figure out the storage part. Bass, yep that's what I found too. Since stats.vatsim stores your hours for individual callsigns I figured there would be a simpler way to return totals for a specific prefix.
  2. How can I get the total hours a CID has logged under a specific airline ICAO? I've searched the VATSIM API but so far only find info on how to return their ratings or online status.
  3. Jetwave is a San Diego-based VA that operates the Boeing 737 to destinations across the US, Canada, and Mexico. Charters and VATSIM fly-ins to non-scheduled destinations across the globe diversify our operations. Join today and be a part of our kick-off event! Freeware user? No messy setup here. Our installers do the work for you, hassle free. Fleet, AFCAD for hub, and an AI package are all included. New to FS or interested in VATSIM? Our training program takes you step-by-step through the process, focusing on what matters and not getting bogged down in details not related to flying. The tutorial walks you through a flight, including everything from planning, communicating with ATC, and navigating SIDs & STARs, allowing you to see how concepts apply to execution. Already have your feet under you? Come on over and join up for some group flights. Every brief contains all the planning information you need for a flight, allowing you to load up and go. Hope to see you with us in the skies soon.
  4. Is it possible to pull their VATSIM hours under a specific ICAO?
  5. Jetwave will be a fictional LCC operating B737-800's out of San Diego. Visit flyjetwave.com for a preview of the livery. The airline will serve major US markets, in addition to leisure destinations in Hawaii and Mexico. Monthly charter specials and VATSIM events to non-scheduled destinations will be promoted in order to broaden our operations. Expansion will be methodical, taking into account real-world O&D data analysis. Flight dispatch info (route, weather, fuel) will be integrated into the schedules in order to both increase realism and simplify the pre-flight process for the pilot. Instead of the typical multi-level rank structure based solely off collecting hours, we will only utilize the ranks of First Officer and Captain. Promotion will be truly earned, taking into account VA involvement and achievements in addition to flight time. If Jetwave is a concept that interests you and would like a hand in developing, send me a PM!
  6. Disregard, I was placing the code in the wrong file. -------------------------------- Running SimPilot's 5.5.1 Adding a bid returns the following message: "Strict Standards: Non-static method SchedulesData::setbidonschedule() should not be called statically..." The bid is successfully added though. Filing a pirep returns two 'setbidonschedule' errors plus one for CodonEvent::hasstop(). Again, the pirep goes through successfully but the errors are unpleasant. I've seen suggestions for adding a code to the local.config to ignore the errors but that code is already there -->that's because it needs to be in modules/schedules/schedules.php
  7. I'm using SimPilot's 5.5x and have the issue.
  8. Thanks AirbusAi342, I was having the same problem. Could you expand on where/how to implement this?
  9. I have quite a few seasonal destinations, making the airport selection dropdown cumbersome if you don't have the current route map memorized. What would be the best way to populate the depicao/arricao lists based off only active flights?
  10. I'm attempting to get my news to display as: Date | Subject: Body but is coming out as Date | Subject: Body ----- After triple-checking my formatting I looked up the news table in the database - it appears that the body field has <p> tags attached to it when it posts... I dug all through the admin side and even into the SiteCMS files trying to see what I can tinker with to prevent/work around this but no luck. This is a clean install of phpVMS so no other files have been customized. Suggestions?
  11. If I go with the biz jet idea I would only select planes that had a quality freeware model plus a payware counterpart, specifically the C750. Just started playing with that and can't put it down! As far as schedules and ACARS, what do you guys do? I saw this new open-source ACARS that was posted here in the forums but if I read correctly it can't do charters.
  12. I'm not looking to claim the cliché “unlike any other VA!â€, but I would like to build something that's lacking in the virtual world. I'm split between two ideas: a fictional low-cost carrier or private jet charter? Option 1: There's a lot of really nice and professional VA's out there based on real airlines, but when it comes to the truly 'virtual' VAs they all seem to turn into an "anything goes" mega-VA. This VA would be California based, operate the B737-700 and -900, and focus on aeronautical competence, proficiency, and accomplishments rather than just build a logbook to nowhere flying everything under the sun. I even have a working paint job for you to critique: Option 2: Fictional again, but based on a business model like NetJets or XOJET. There's hundreds of airlines out there but I have seen very very few private jet charter VAs. Is this due to a lack of interest or is this a hole that needs to be filled?
  13. I'm assuming you're using excel or similar: try '0123456 Note the ' Without it your leading 0 gets ignored and might be the cause of "the Mondays" haha.
