I know what the error is and why im getting it but haven't a clue on how to solve it
There was an error adding the schedule, already exists DB error: Unknown column 'week1' in 'field list' -
The site doesn't render correctly at all in the newest version of Firefox. (Disregard the image name saying chrome.jpg. It is Firefox)
Hey, solved that now I changed something by mistake which caused that problem. Should work fine now
Thanks!

Hi Josh,
- the header is a different colour to the page background.
- how about re-adding the shaddow to the site outline? It made the site really stand out.
- might just be my opinion, but add some left padding on the homepage boxes
- support centre links to an open directory
- replace the forum title with the logo
- welcome message needs changing regarding custom system
- is there a need for the email confirmation script message?
- some of the content still relates to virgin atlantic va
- your partners with your own virtual airline and the image seems squashed
Hope that isn't too critical
Jon
Not at all too critical!
Sorted the header. Also added back the shadow but the nav bar is too wide and I can't for the life of me remember how to get the nav bar to fit. Any ideas? Nav bar sorted
When you say about adding padding to the homepage boxes you mean the sidebar (latest news, stats etc)? Yeah need to change all the pages, they all still have virgin atlantic va content. Only managed to get things working last night so only had time to do the crew centre.
Thanks for the suggestions

Site appears to render correctly in Chrome dev build.
My thoughts:
Do you use a different font to the real Virgin Australia on purpose? Just wondering.
You should use text with a different font for the headings (e.g. Latest Pireps) instead of images.
On a related matter, that really doesn't warrant using a table. You should just style the elements you need instead.
Personally think the rounded corners look completely out of place (and also far too round).
As for the video, it's very well composed but the editing lets it down in my opinion.
The blurring in the corners on every single shot is annoying, not sure what effect you were trying to go for there... also the video within a video part hides a lot of what's going on in the main shot.
Yes we do use a different font to Virgin Australia reason being they wouldn't let us use theirs so they sent us a font we can use which is the closest to the real thing. As for the headings thought it looked good with images but actually looking at it, does look a bit stupid so will definitely be changing it to text! To be honest totally forgot I had put it in a separate table, it was because originally I was designing a custom system and I had to use a table to get it in place because for some reason without the table it would end up in the footer. (Probably because of my amazing coding skills)
Agree with the video, the blur is a bit annoying (I didn't make the video) but it was free so I'm not complaining
Thanks for the comments!

Hey guys,
We are just about to re-launch our second va Virgin Australia Virtual in a week and just want to know what you guys think of the site, any suggestions on improvements, what should be added / removed.
http://www.virginaustraliava.com/index.php (dont go to virginaustraliava.com because you will be redirected to our holding page)
Also comments on our promo.
Would really like to hear your comments, want to make sure the re-launch is successful and that everyone likes the site. Also if you wouldn't mind saying what browser your using and if everything displays ok just want to confirm site works in all major browsers.
Thanks guys

You can display what you want by using a custom sql to display the id of the field.
Awh didn't know you could pull certain fields, assumed you could only get them all together. How would I go about doing that?
-
If I did them as custom fields though they would all be grouped together whereever I put the code to include the custom fields but I want them separate so like DoB under email, vatsim id at the bottom, etc.

Sorry tried it but still not working :/

Joshua,
There are three things that you need to make them work.
1) You need to add the new columns, in the phpvms_pilots database. Set them to the appropriate fields.
2) You need to change the registration.php file. Add new data arrays, so the registration can process the new fields.
3) You also need to change the RegistrationData.class. You have to add new fields in the SQL Query.
Just have a look at those files, I'm pretty sure you will understand it.
Well I've added and changed what I think needs to be done but whenever I click the submit button it simply clears the page and doesn't send the registration. Would you or someone else mind have a quick check through the files to see if I've done it right. I've included the registration script, registrationdata.class and the _pilots table.
If someone wouldn't mind checking that would be awesome
Sorry to be a pain in the ass!

Hey guys,
Right heres the thing i've been re-doing our pilot registration page and added a few more things like DoB, City of Residence, Why they want to join our VA and one or two more things I want to add. Anyway I'm not sure how I would get this information to like send when the pilot sends it.
With the DoB and Why they want to join just want that for admins to see so what do I need to add and where?
I know its prob a big task? but if someone can just get me going then im sure I'll be fine (fast learner)
Thanks!

Hey Guys,
Two things
1. To get more pilots flying we have created Wednesday Happy Hours so every wednesday between 3pm - 6pm pilots will get double hours for every PIREP filed between these times. So is there a way to get this to do automatically so that instead of having to go through the recent PIREPS and adding double hours for each pilot?
2. Is there a way for say like when a pilot reaches a certain amount of hours to get an award automatically because its annoying having to again go through all pilots and add an award manually.
Thanks!

Thanks guys!
I do usually make daily backups but kept forgetting and haven't done one for a week or so. Better make sure I do backup daily after this!

Stange...a few minutes ago everything came back and everythings back in the database. Any ideas what caused this?

Hey Guys
Weird thing about an hour ago on our front page errors started to appear such as
Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/virginat/public_html/lib/skins/virgin/frontpage_recentpilots.tpl on line 3and this would appear for everything like Latest News, Flights in progress etc so I knew it was something to do with the database and when I checked I got this error for every table. This is just from the acarsdata
#1033 - Incorrect information in file: './virginat_vms/phpvms_acarsdata.frm'SELECT *
FROM `phpvms_acarsdata`
LIMIT 0 , 30
[ Edit ] [ Explain SQL ] [ Create PHP Code ] [ Refresh ]
Error
SQL query: Edit
SHOW FULL FIELDS FROM `phpvms_acarsdata` ;
MySQL said: Documentation
#1033 - Incorrect information in file: './virginat_vms/phpvms_acarsdata.frm'
Open new phpMyAdmin window
Now I really have no idea what to do or how to correct it as this is the first time I've had this. This there a way to correct this as I don't have a recent backup
Thanks
-
Thank you, done now!

I've given our HR guy permission to edit pilots but he still can't delete pilots and I've realized you have to give full admin for this. Is there anyway around this without giving him full permissions?
Thanks!

Been having a few issues over the past few days. First for some reason the Ranks table emptied itself which caused errors with the ranks which was solved but that happened again last night and early hours this morning for some reason two pilots were deleted by myself, the template changed and 5 pireps rejected even though i was asleep and i also removed myself from the admin group.
So this morning i've had to add myself to the group through the database and change everything back. Also when I go to accept all pireps get this error
Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/virginat/public_html/admin/modules/PIREPAdmin/PIREPAdmin.php on line 1300 of 0 were approved (0 has errors)
It's really strange because this is a great piece of software and never had any issues until now.
-
Actually its gone back the same. For some reason the Ranks table is empty again and the errors have re-appeared
-
All working fine now. I tried to reupload the files but that didn't work so I then checked the ranks table and that was the problem, nothing in there but it's all sorted now.
Thanks guys!

Recently found an error come up when I go to the ranks list in the admin center. The error is:
Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/virginat/public_html/admin/templates/ranks_allranks.tpl on line 15So we can't edit ranks. Also ranks are no longer being displayed in the pilots profile and when we accept PIREPS we get the error
Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/virginat/public_html/core/common/RanksData.class.php on line 235and
Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/virginat/public_html/core/common/RanksData.class.php on line 194Any ideas to fix this?
-
Nope I've never changed my ID and theres only one other admin and he said he hasn't touched anything and there was nothing on the admin logs. quite strangee...
-
Strangest thing happened today when I went to login to my account it said "User does not exit" so when I checked the database my account which was VIR001 was no longer there. So anyway I manually added an account through the database and made myself admin again and when checking through the logs I noticed my account was actually still there its just the pilot ID had changed to VIR55585. Anyone know what could have caused this and if so is there anything I can do to make sure it doesn't happen again.
