  1. You mean, like VNLK or MHTG?
  2. I would like to formally announce a 'new' virtual airline: Transamericana Aerolinea Virtual ("TAV"). Online for 13 months, we (loosely) approximate a large Latin American commercial carrier (such as TACA/Avianca or Lan Chile) in that our primary service area is in Central and South America, with routes to North America, Europe, and into and across the Pacific. Our core service area includes all three of the world's three highest International Airports serving National Capitals (SLLP is >13000' MSL!) as well as airports on the sides of mountains and at the bottoms of canyons (both types with limited maneuvering space), and remote dirt bush strips in the Amazon Basin - and everything in between. It's an environment as interesting and challenging (and dangerous) as you want it to be. Not to mention the weather... (except for routes to/from New Zealand and Barcelona) TAV is not a serious VA with a strict structure, pilot hierarchies, medals of achievement, etc. If that sort of structure is really important to you, then we encourage you to find another VA and sincerely wish you all the best. Or better yet, join both. We fly for fun and to make international friends. And to have fun. We have the best places in the world to fly. Check out Transamericana Aerolinea Virtual, and let's have some fun together! Paul Glanville, Owner, Transamericana Aerolinea Virtual ________________
  3. Hi. I worked around this by setting up my aircraft registrations to be mnemonic to their ICAO codes. For instance, an A320 on my airline is HK0320, B738 is HK0738, etc. There is nothing to stop you from using the ICAO codes directly as aircraft registrations as far as I know. Of course you still have the problem of having to set it up in advance... On the other hand, you can do this without having to dig into the code (and possibly introduce subtle new undesirable behaviors...)
  4. Hello. I've tried for months to get an account on this site. My name is Paul and I run a phpVMS-based site: tav.gkpnet.net Your server keeps saying that it's sending me emails, but they never arrive. I've tried several different email addresses - with different domains & IP addresses - all to no avail. I have finally resorted to an anti-spam anonymous email service (that, frankly, you should not permit) and, well, here I am. Is there some way to get my more 'legitimate' account approved? Take your pick: TAVadmin, gkp00co, gkp ...... Feel free to respond to me directly to any one of the 3 email addresses associated with the three accounts... I am impressed with your code - and have made a few adjustments here & there - and am eager to promote my VA, Transamericana, here. Thanks, and I hope to hear from you soon!!
