Update: The new layout is live. While I am still finishing some little things here and there, the main pages are done and ready to use. New features; - Facebook sharing of Virtual Airlines. - Medals indicating the top three of the previous month. Check it all out here.

A small announcement regarding the VA-List; In the next weeks I will be re-designing the look of the Virtual Airline List, it will look somewhat similar to the old version but the graphics will be more 'upgraded'. I posted a screenshot on the Facebook page for the ones who 'manage' their lives on their and if you don't feel like clicking, just take a peek below. Important for the people who are looking for a Virtual Airline to join; we have a News section (Virtual Airlines Weekly News) in which you can post a small advertisement (aka classified) which will show up there for Virtual Airlines to contact you and offer their services. Of course you can always take a look at the Virtual Airline List itself.

A lot of work is going on in the background, but don't worry, development and new features are being added all the time. If nothing appears to happen I am probably working on the administrative area of the site. But for now, some visible updates for the paper: - The submit news section is accepting images. Although it still needs some testing and coding, it will probably be fully functional before the next edition (week 43). - The classifieds are fully functional, I really hope this will be used soon by pilots looking for a Virtual Airline that meets _their_ requirements. - The News Archive is still being added. The main Virtual Airline List is starting to grow rapidly I think, and we're only in the first real month online. I'm really happy about that, I am also getting some good feedback, but if there are problems or questions feel free to use the contact button at the bottom of the main page. There are still some country flags missing on the frontpage, so if you are registered with VA-List, please log in and select your country and it will be there... eventually.

Well it takes a dedicated pilot to vote every month, but it's for a good cause right? And navigating your way once a month to hit a link shouldn't be so bad

After every month the votes will be removed, the winner will gain a month medal and every Virtual Airline will start at zero again. Why I do this is to be able to show potential Virtual Airlien pilots _active_ Virtual Airlines. We all know that a lot of Virtual Airlines die a slow death over time. The voting creates a filter basically. And those of you who are worried about / or are using proxies to submit votes, know that this is being restricted and monitored. If a Virtual Airline gets caught several times will result in a deactivation of this VA within the list.

Virtual Airlines Weekly News is undergoing some major upgrades. - News archives are being added. - Pilot classifieds will be added. - Random VA banner will be displayed. Pilot classifieds will be the most interesting item here. It will allow new Virtual Airline pilots to present themselves, with their 'demands' and Virtual Airlines will be able to react on it. Either by leaving a comment or sending a direct email to the person in question (if they allow it). Click here to check it out. Just remember, if it's not working right now, it will be later today ( I am writing the scripts _right_ now )

Within the next week I will be adding classifieds where potential Virtual Airline pilots can leave a message requesting contact with active Virtual Airlines. I have to give it some thought on where and how really, it might have the same setup as the Virtual Airlines Weekly News section.

We're expanding! - The Virtual Airlines Weekly News is completely up and running and can be used by registered Virtual Airlines. - An anti-proxy system has also been realized so fake votes are reduced to a minimum. - A simple search function has been added which searches actively for Virtual Airline names (An improved search will be added soon with more functionality and options). Hey all, I just though it would be nice to promote a page I made right here on this forum. It's called Virtual Airline List and you can find it here. Basically, it's like a TOP list where people can vote for (or register) their favorite Virtual Airline. I hope to get as many as possible on board so all information is neatly collected in one central area with a quick glance at their respective descriptions (hover over banner), voting and jumping to the VA official homepage without any ties to any other homepage and / or organisation whatsoever. There is also a section which permits Virtual Airlines to submit weekly news on, a vote free list of Virtual Airlines and some bonus features after acquiring a premium account. Just have a look, and I hope to see your VA there online soon as well
