Aditya
I have recently installed phpVMS in my website for establishing a virtual airline but facing some problems. The first problem is, whenever a person tries to register, they get an error "Unable to open socket". Also when I try to add airports manually I get an error "There was an error adding the airport". As a result we are unable to develop our website for our virtual airline. Also I'd like to mention that we are currently using a free host for developing our website but are planning to buy a host once we are ready to operate. The Link of our website is : http://virtualindiaair.net84.net/ Regards.
TennShadow
Look like you're using a free hosting. PHPVMS does not work well on most free hosts because of the limitations set by the hosting company. There are several low cost web hosts that will run PHPVMS fine and will be better for you in the long run.
Aditya
Will surely look for some other web host which supports phpVMS. Meanwhile,I asked about the problem to the host also this was their reply: "What kind of socket are you trying to use? The default location for the Unix socket file that the server uses for communication with local clients is /tmp/mysql.sock (if this one does not work try /var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock)." what should we exactly answer them?
