airmermaid
Hi, I am new to phpvms and trying to do some flights with my "one man show" airline. All I would like to know if it is possible to assign multiple aircraft for a route, or at least type of aircraft instead of registrations. Let's say I have 5 A321 and 3 B738, which makes 8 registrations = 8 times inserting a route. Instead if it is possible to make it by type I would only need to enter the same route 2 times. I have tried to search the forum for a solution but no luck at all Thanks Arslan
flyalaska
Just make another flight number. Copy the same route with a different flight number and use the other aircraft.
airmermaid
Thanks Eddie but that is what I am trying to avoid because I have 20 aircraft and 50+ routes, which would mean 50 x 20 = 1000 routes to insert
Tom
This doesn't limit you to what you fly. If you wish (this is what I do) you can just set every route to the same aircraft. It's just to act as a guidance when you are accepting PIREPs submitted.
airmermaid
Tom thanks, I already did what you have suggested. The problem is, ACARS program (kACARS) assigns passengers according to that aircraft. If I put all my a/c as A332 it will assign 250 pax even if I fly A320 or B737. Vice versa if I assing all as B737 then my A332 have only 180 pax. I am just a complete coding illiterate so I might be wrong but I think if there was a possibility to make the code look for the type instead of registration, the problem would have been solved. Cheers, Arslan
Tom
Oh that's interesting. I would expect the client to record pax based on what your flying, rather than what the schedule has the aircraft as, for exactly this reason - if that's correct it's a bit of a flaw IMO. You should have a word with lorathon and see what he says. I guess the workaround is only going to be create each schedule for each aircraft, if you wish to continue using kACARS... sorry :/

Cheers, Arslan kACARS_Free allows a pilot to choose a different aircraft (in your fleet) to fly that route. When a new aircraft is selected it should re-calculate the PAX with that aircrafts data in mind.
airmermaid
Hi Thanks all and Jeffrey. I knew I was missing something (lack of reading). All OK now with latest kACARS. Thanks again. Cheers, Arslan PS. I don't know how but is it possible mark this topic [sOLVED]
