Problem with IE and Firefox

Correct that's why you should have a separate css to support it or code and test in IE, if you have Google analytics's installed in your site then you will see that most visitors to your site use IE, now users are not necessarily technical in their knowledge of browsers, they click a button and expect to see the page they have requested.

You need to support at lease from IE 7 upwards, if not your users will be experience will not be pleasurable.
