bwilber Posted August 31, 2011 Report Posted August 31, 2011 I have been adding pages for my site and of course as I add them, they are added to the menu. I was under the assumption that the code for the menu was being added to the core_navigation.tpl, but it has not changed at all. Where are these links being coded in. Not all of the pages I build do I want to appear in the menu, so I need to be able to take them out. Quote
Jeff Posted September 1, 2011 Report Posted September 1, 2011 When adding pages, there are two (2) boxes just above the "Save Changes" button. you need to remove both checks from them. If they are not Enabled, they won't show in the menu. They can still be viewed using a link you provide to your members that link to those pages you create. Explanation... Public?: They appear in your menu on your site to members, as well as non members. Enabled?: They will appear to your members, but not to the public. Quote
bwilber Posted September 1, 2011 Author Report Posted September 1, 2011 Thanks, Jeff. I appreciate the help. I'm still curious as to what file adds them when they are enabled. Guess the coder in me is coming out. Quote
Administrators simpilot Posted September 1, 2011 Administrators Report Posted September 1, 2011 It starts in the core of the application and is added to the template object in the index file on line 61 Template::Set('MODULE_NAV_INC', $NAVBAR); then in the nav file it is displayed using the command; <?php echo $MODULE_NAV_INC;?> The links are created within the pages module.
