It works the other way round - the VA uses kACARS and VATSIM. Your plan is a recipe for a bad VA. No money means a free website which causes problems for phpVMS. I recommend you at least get some cheap hosting. Most who say they don't want to use any money means are 12 year olds who's parents refuse to use any money from their credit card. I recommend you put some money into it and A LOT of effort. If you're still thinking about doing it, I recomend hosting by light-speed gaming, they got cheapest I've seen, $1 a month + $15 per year for domain and I only use a third of available space for my VA. I pay total I think $25 ish per year. That's pretty much the minimum you can spend, I went and spent about $200, if you cant spend at least a little bit I suggest you don't try to start one and maybe just join one. It's possible to run a VA for free, but you'll have many problems fixing it because of the weird hosting configuration, a pretty nasty looking skin (unless you know HTML + CSS + a little PHP and have some sort of design sense yourself) and a free domain name... but who doesn't trust a free domain name right? Aaron, in this hobby everything means money and i know that. but as you may know, you can find all the payware a/c, add-ons, etc. for free on the torrent. i dont say im using them, but its a truth that they are free on the internet. they can be buggy as Tom said, but if you know what you are doing its not a big problem. so we can solve this problem (as the add-on things) with paying no money, we just need a guy, who understands hosting, website designing, etc. Thanks for your comment Tom, thats the spirit but i still need step by step walkthrough, anyone with knowledge and any suggestion, plz let me know. I don't know a way to do it, but if you can figure it out and are ok with a freeware domain, then good luck. It's quite simple to install PHPvms with file manager in cpanel, idk what free hosts use tho. Just upload the phpvms.full folder from the site, and upload it's contents to your website. Idk if it will work though but if you think you can do it, good luck. Also that link I sent about cheap hosting, I bought lifetime teamspeak and ordered web hosting from my control panel, you're right tho, I cant find anywhere else that says about their hosting Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
