Wood Posted April 10, 2013 Report Posted April 10, 2013 Due to the short falls of FSX and from time to time when FSX freezes and you end up with a CTD after a long flight. It would be nice if kACARS was able to auto save the flight from time to time to prevent this very frustrating event. Would be a nice addition.. Wood Quote
freshJet Posted April 10, 2013 Report Posted April 10, 2013 I assume you mean the ACARS log, not the actual FS flight? Quote
Moderators Kyle Posted April 10, 2013 Moderators Report Posted April 10, 2013 I think he means saving the FS Flight. I know the feeling. Ask Jeff in FS-Products to see if he can do it in custom kACARS. I'm sure he can do anything as possible. Quote
freshJet Posted April 10, 2013 Report Posted April 10, 2013 If you mean the flight then there's a freeware autosave program available somewhere (check flightsim.com and Avsim). kACARS's basic function is to log FS parameters, not for this type of thing. Quote
reachva Posted April 11, 2013 Report Posted April 11, 2013 If you own the Paid version of FSUIPC as I do, it has a feature like this that is very useful. If auto saves your flight every specified interval, handy for if FSX crashes as you can reload it through the normal saved flights interface and kACARS (we still currently use the free version) will continue to record the flight. I am thinking about the possibility of getting such a feature when I enquire for a custom KACARS however once our new website is online and I have reserved funds for it. 1 Quote
HighFlyerPL185 Posted April 11, 2013 Report Posted April 11, 2013 Failing that, alternatively supply pilots with a link to a little ingenious software called FSXSave? According to Tesco, Every Little Helps Quote
Guest lorathon Posted April 12, 2013 Report Posted April 12, 2013 @Wood So you would like a function to automatically save the FS flight while using kACARS_Free. Is this correct? Quote
