    I feel like if you are running vabase, this isn't the right place to be advertising your VA. Secondly, you are going to have to put a lot more effort into your website and "operation" to get this off the ground. There is already a saturation of American VA's and I see a $100 skin and about nothing else.

    Didn't think I was going to be back on this forum but if i can leave you will a bit of advise... Don't nickel and dime people by having a $15 setup fee for a shared hosting account that is deployed automatically. Find a more creative way to fit in the $15 but I can guarantee you that with as many shared hosting options that are available, you are going to need to add far more value to your product and spend much more time on your website if you are to succeed.

    Maybe you are right I'm not sure. I know my script isn't on Pastebin, but I can't speak for anyone else. In terms of FlightAware, I have everything setup and thought through with that but I appreciate your concern.

    Hello Everyone,

     

    Over the past 4 years or so, it has been an interesting road in virtual aviation. I have had the privilege to collaborate on many different projects and meet various people. Over the past year or so, I have lost interest in the community as I move into larger business endeavors in IT. As a result, many of your emails requesting schedules have fallen on dead ears, as I simply haven't had the time to reply. With this being said, as many people can attest to, I have provided many members of this forum with schedule pulls for phpVMS, and I am one of very few with the knowledge to provide these services.

     

    As I have no future plans to return to the community or this market, I am looking to sell off my script that has served many people well over the past few years. With the hope that other entrepreneurs will have an opportunity to create a competitive market for schedule sales, I am selling the script to ONLY 3 BUYERS. While I am sure I could find many more buyers, I want to attempt to preserve the integrity of the script and hopefully after these 3 buyers, only those who genuinely have put in the time to gain knowledge to build a similar script, will be able to reap the benefits of it.

     

    My asking price for the script is $100 USD. It comes with the following

    • FlightAware Schedule Pull PHP Script
    • Stripe Credit Card Integration (automatically generates an API pull key for those who have purchased one)
    • 1 month-use FlightAware API Key (for one month you can use my existing FlightAware API key for testing purposes)

    Please remember the people on this forums are either volunteers or community members. Posting the same topic multiple times is not only spam but it is blatantly rude. Check the other post in whichever i replied. You are not entitled to help any faster than anyone else.

    Yes, you will need to change all the aircraft names in the Registration column of the csv to match the tail number registration in your phpVMS. This can be quickly accomplished with a find and replace, however if you want me to do that, I could do that for an addition $1 per airline.

    On a side note, All of us here at phpVMS have dumped aircraft in to files and nav points and airports, but never routes.  That sure would have been sweet if over the years we all would have made a route repo. 

     

    @HearGrandCookie here ya have it buddy. This is the guy to talk to.

    I have two suspicions as to why this didn't happen.

     

    1. Schedules either take an extremely long time to accurately enter, or they cost money to obtain and thus to keep va competition high, people didn't want to contribute to a schedules repo.

    2. VA's prefer to have up to date routes versus ones months and even years out of date.

     

    Nonetheless, I really don't make a profit on the schedules, it is just enough to cover my fees and to give back so if people want a repo, I am fine to do that.
