  1. Air Serbia is proud to announce the further expansion of our operations.

    We have just dry leased two Fokker F-100 jets for an undisclosed period of time. We are planning these jets, now registered YU-AAS and YU-AAT, to fly on short to medium haul routes across the Mediterranean to relieve the Boeing fleet.

    Two more Fokker F-100 jets will also be joining the Air Serbia fleet some time during May, and are most likely to operate from Tivat (TIV) airport. As a side note, our only transcontinental jet, the B767-300ER YU-ACA, named Serbia, is now re-registered as YU-AAZ.

    For and on behalf of Air Serbia,

    Sava Markovic

    Acting Chief Executive Officer

  2. Air Serbia Virtual is extremely proud and honored to announce that on the 23rd of April we celebrated our first year of existence!

    In these days when numerous VAs start-up and die out, we feel that this is a big accomplishment!

    During this period we have accomplished many things but we believe that this is only a start, to what will be a great adventure for all of us.

    Some of the things we are proud of:

    - Air Serbia is Serbia's leading virtual airline with over 150-250 monthly flights.

    - Air Serbia is a VATSIM partner and an Authorized Training Organization certified to give out P1 ratings.

    - Air Serbia is the first virtual airline to become a VATEUD partner.

    - Air Serbia is a member of the world's leading vAlliance - Global One

    At this time we have 23 pilots who have flown 1377 flights logging 1859h and flying more than 320 000 passengers in our 10 aircraft.

    ----------------

    Air Serbia is a European regional airline operating from Belgrade Airport(LYBE). Our fleet consists of 6 Boeing 737-700NG, 1 Boeing 767-300ER and 3 ATR72 aircraft.

    It connects Belgrade with Europe by daily flights to and from major cities and popular tourist destinations. We are focused on online flying, on the VATSIM and IVAO networks.

    We have a great training department ran by dedicated people who are RL instructors and who are available to you at all times.

    If you want a friendly, professional atmosphere and lots of fun, consider joining Air Serbia Virtual.

    On behalf of Air Serbia

    Sava Markovic

    Acting Chief Executive Officer

  3. Hello guys :)

    I have just made a small update to our Policy and Operations Manual and it made me think, what does your OM look like? Do you even have one?

    Here is mine: http://www.skysim.net/airserbia/docs/ops_manual.pdf

    Please leave feedback and tell me what you think.

    Also, post tips for us, less experienced CEOs, what we should and shouldn't include etc.

    Leave links to your OMs.

    P.S I am aware that I have forgot to change the date below the version number, I will change that in the morning.

  4. Taylor you are a joke. You play innocent and write posts how you hate people stealing, two days later you are cought stealing from LEV.

    You are all but innocent.

    Travesty.

    I really don't like these kinds of discussions but I feel that this needs to stop and members that come in the future know whose services not to take. The first one would be MYVADesigns if you ask me.

  5. OK, so lets get things straighten up.

    I just heard with Pere and he gave me an insight into the story here.

    You contacted him mid December and your repaint was accepted. It was some 60-70% done but some errors were popping up slowing down the release. The livery was really simple to do and we even considered to give it out for free but real world obligations popped up and mid January you were told that we can not continue the development process for the livery. It might be a bit confusing from our side but we can not control factors like RL so please accept my apologies about that. On the other hand it was clear that we can not help you with the livery before February so I am not sure why you are posting this now.

    It is a mistake on our side not being in touch with each other and coordinating but it was a busy period for us I can assure you. And after all, SkySim.net is a two-man show.

    For the future, we will be sure to be more professional. We will learn from this and accept liveries only when we are certain that we can deliver what we are hired to do.

    Once more, accept the apologies.

    To all others,

    Please do not let this put you off from using SkySim.Net for your repaints. I can assure you that our repaints are high quality (which the above picture can confirm) and very low priced compared to others.

    Thanks.

    Sava

  6. First of all no need to shout.

    I got many requests in that period and I didn't even get to reply to many of them because I was too busy with personal life. The ones to who I didn't reply probably went on and found a better repainter. Though, this is not your case and I replied to your message. At the same time, I would like to make an apology to all who didn't get a reply.

    I didn't have any time to do the repaint myself so you were forwarded to one of the other guys doing repaints for SkySim.net. After I have sent you the contact details I got a response and my last PM was sent on 06 December 2011 - 08:26 PM after which you haven't replied. The most important thing, you did not pay for anything as our policy is to first have the paints done and after the customer is satisfied we send the repaints and receive the payment!

    From then, I didn't hear from you and I don't know what you two agreed on so there is no issue on my side. After all, you didn't pay for anything so you could have hired a new repainter any time you wanted. If I can recall correctly, Pere who you contacted told me that he got no reply from you regarding livery details but I will have to confirm that as I am not sure. As I got no reply, I wouldn't be too surprised if that was the case.

    I will edit my post when I know more on this subject.

    And next time, before you put my name in bold out there, get your facts straight!

  7. A quote from Tayler ( twelka3 ) from a few days back

    After so long of this not happening its going again. Ive grown up and have learned from my past but i know what he means as its happened to me to in the past. Just kids. So annoying.

    My idea is to make a forum announcement/sticky in all forums with a blacklist of all the members who have stolen in the past so we know from who not to take services and just to know what to expect.

  8. That is true although you can run a VA pretty much without any cost if you know right people.

    For example, I got my repaints from the virtual alliance I am in, the hosting is paid by a friend of mine who I am helping with his website as the webmaster so he provides the hosting etc

    .

    You just have to look :)

    Good luck with the VA

  9. I will post a more general guide but alll of these contribute to the overall quality of the VA and that is required to get new pilots

    There are many VAs these days so you really have to try hard and be patient!

    First of all, don't make a VA that already exists! We do not need 100 AAL VAs, RYR VAs etc. you get the point.

    Second, start off with a small team of people you really trust and that are actually interested in the VA. Posting on many forums looking for 50 staff positions is not good. The only thing you will achieve is a roster full of people that just want a title next to their name and that are not flying and being active. As you grow, open up more staff positions but only recruit from your existing active members. At the time I have 4 staff members. Me as the CEO, a Training Director, HR Director and Flight Operations Director but really I could do all the job myself with the TD, but the staff team makes it easier for me and they have been with the airline from the start and have over 300h each.

    Third, many people do not realize that having an attractive website is everything. Please do not misunderstand me, it is important, but not as much as others think. Pretty much all the VAs have the same systems running and with similiar layouts etc. The only option to stand out in this field is to have a custom ACARS and a never-seen-before layout with great features, options etc. If you can not get that or do not want to, your best bet is to focus on other things which are equally or even more important. First of, having an active and friendly community. Encourage your members to post screenshots and be active on the forums and TS if you have one.

    Four, provide things for your pilots. Aircraft liveries, make scenery databases so it easier for pilots to find sceneries for the airports you fly to. Also try and fulfil their wishes and make them see they are important to you but do not go too far so they end up running your VA. Get discounts for VAs from addon manufactorers

    Do not have double criteriums. If someone with 4h makes the same mistake as someone with 1000h and that mistake is for example considered a serious infraction by your OM, treat both the members the same.

    I am in a hurry now so I will rush things but edit my post later.

    Be patient, it may take a while for your VA to become succesful, but also be ready to accept that it maybe won't. It is important to keep it close to the original idea. Try and make it for a certain 'niche'. Maybe not many people for example like bush flying in Congo, but are you pationate about it, and do you think you can offer more than other similar VAs. If so, I wish you all the luck!

    Hope this helps

  10. You can exclude any piece of code by using // for single lines or <!-- --> for larger sections of text.

    <html>
    bla bla bla
    //single line of excluded text
    <!--

    a big portion of excluded text

    -->
    bla bla
    </html>

    If you want some content appearing in the homepage only remove it from the layout.tpl and add it to the frontpage_main.tpl (I believe that is the name)

    Or you can add it to a separte template file that you will include whenever you need it.
