  1. Hi Kyle Are you sure about leaving the field blank? I tried that and the flights became unbookable. It wasn't Excel, I rarely use that for csv and this file hadn't been through Excel, but your answer made me look closer at the actual csv file that I was uploading. I found extra spaces in the days field ahead of the numbers, probably from Notepad ++, so every time I opened the file another space was added, probably putting the last day digit over the field limit. A quick switch to plain old Notepad, and deleting the spaces put everything back to normal. Thanks
  2. Hi folks A quick search didn't bring up anything, so I have a question that I hope someone can shed some light on. When I use the Admin import schedule option I lose a day for every upload. For example a daily schedule will lose first Saturday (day 6) and on a subsequent upload will lose Friday (day 5), and so on. The csv file has the correct setting for flights, for example a daily flight has 0123456 in the days field, and this doesn't happen to flights that operate on restricted days, for example outbound on 135, return on 0246. Any ideas? Thanks in advance Tony
  3. I don't know where your VA is based, so this might not work for you. In Brazil the civil aviation department maintains a list of regular flights for each airline, and these lists are available for download in csv format. The lists can then be quickly converted into the phpvms template layout and uploaded in bulk. This is great if you are simulating a RW airline and can save a lot of time over adding flights individually. It doesn't work as well if your VA isn't based on a RW airline, or for charter flights, and your local civil aviation authority might not make such data available, but it can be a quick way of getting schedules online. I used this method at a previous VA to add E-Jet routes, and it took less than 20 minutes in total to add over 400 flights. TTFN
  4. I find FS Flight Calculator by Dave Westbury to be a very useful little tool for planning flight times, it's free, small and works offline. It doesn't give routes but you do have a choice of aircraft for the flight times. Search for fsfc165.zip over at Avsim. TTFN
  5. Thanks Jeff, news is on the front page so I'll have a go at that tomorrow. TTFN
  6. Hi Nick Great job with the template, we are using it on our website (www.palegrevirtual.com) due to the clean and elegant looks. There are still a few little odds and ends to tidy up (black lines on the logo image for example) but we've found that it works very well and is extremely stable. One quick question, how would I add a fixed text element above the news items? Directly in the css file or with layout.tpl? Thanks Tony
  7. Thanks Taylor, it's easy when you know how
  8. OK guys, we are now back up and running, thanks for the help, it WAS a css issue that I solved by going back to an older edition. Dumb question time, how do I mark the topic as solved?
  9. Thanks for the tips guys. I still can't get it running correctly so I've gone back to Crystal until I can sort this out. Thanks
  10. Joeri, which version of IE did you use? I only have IE7 and it's OK there. The css file sizes online were different to the size on my PC, so I reupped them, still the same issue. Now for a dumb question, how do I link reset.css. Thanks
  11. Hi folks A search didn't bring up anything relevant, so can anyone help? As of yesterday Firefox only displays my site (www.palegrevirtual.com) as plain text, with no layout or images. IE, Opera and Chrome all display correctly, but not Firefox, even with all add-ons disabled. The only admin activity on the site has been to add more routes, nothing in the structure has changed recently, so I'm at a loss to understand this. I doubt that this is an error caused by phpvms, but perhaps there is something in the coding that I could change to ensure compatibility with all browsers? None of my pilots use FF so it's not an immediate issue, but when we officially open in January I would like FF users to be able to see everything clearly. Thanks in advance Tony PS I did check with 3 different versions of FF, same error.
