  1. ah ok joeri, thanks! (i run .854)
  2. Great addon Dave! Thanks two questions: 1. could the date format changed to dd/mm/yyyy? 2. could non registered pilots to signup for an event (typing their info as they are not in the database). this could help non-members to participate in a VAs event thanks!!
  3. Hello, i would like to change the way we insert the airports when adding a new schedule. I would prefer to type the ICAO instead of choosing from the drop down menu. Any idea how to change the code in phpvms admin?
  4. Thank you both for extended replies! Actually, our day flights are 4-6 per day, every day, and the score is still going down hehe! Also the yesterday score is still 403 for 1 week, i think it should have changed somehow. Anyway, it gives me an interest to visit vacentral and look, if something changed or not (hehe) and it is not so important for now, i gues we can all wait for Nabeel to finish other jobs and then have a look!
  5. Nabeel, i still think that the scoring is somehow wrong. The "yesterday's score" is the same since 09 April, and for each flight completed, the current score is reduced. On the other hand, i see that some companies (like EazyjetVA or TNT), have their score correct: they make flights, and they have positive score after each flight, although i do not remember if their "yesterday's score" is changed or not. It seems that the calculation is not working properly, and i don't mean the way that algorithms work, but it is not working at all in some cases, or calculating wrong, or missing flights. It should be common that when an airline is flying everyday (no matter how many flights), and there is not any change in pilots and/or schedules, the current score should be at least the same with "yesterday" (normally it should be higher due to flights completed) Could you please check? Last time you checked it, there was a great change but for 1 day. Since then, the same problems insist. Thank you
  6. Laurent, as for the second with the schedules, this is what i did to give some freedom to pilots: I entered 3 types of aircraft, Small,Medium,Heavy with registration SMA,MED,HVY and each schedule is associated with one of these "aircrafts". This means the pilot can choose any medium aircraft to make the flight, and then i edit every pirep in the admin panel to enter the correct aircraft used. Of course, a total list of aircrafts with correct registration is added too, so that i can then choose from this list when edit.
  7. Hi, i need some code to be made: i want to have the fspax scoring (in every flight) to be stored in the database and each pilot to have his personal score. Then, this score to be shown in pilot's profile, and in somehow in the toppilot utility if possible. This way, pilots will have to have their mind to fly "correct" as any mistake during flights will cost them points and reputation. Anyone who could provide code/template on this? thank you
  8. Good idea, to be able to dispatch a flight or a package of flights to a pilot, he will have to fly these before he could choose any other
  9. Sure, total pilots/active pilots and total schedules/flown schedules should count, it is correct. I thought the score was calculated after each flight (at least it was appearing this way and still appears with the "yesterday score") and i could not understand how a company can lose 100 or 200 points after just 1 flight.
  10. hahaha! something is going very wrong in vacentral, and i cannot understand what it is!! having a score of 401 points (really do not know how achieved this), and after 1 more flight the current score is 142 (-261)!!! hehe this is funny should we make flights or not? Nabeel, could you please give us an explaining document saying how is the score calculated? The tips that are now in vacentral site do not explain much, i would like to understand the way the score is calculated.
  11. It's Teca Virtual Airline (TVI). Now i just saw great changes to all airlines in first page. Perhaps you should look at the "today" and "yesterday" points, sometimes the "yesterday" is the same for many days
  12. The only for sure is that the flights are more frequent, and the daily pireps are more than 2 weeks ago. All pilots are active, so there should be a higher score. Instead of this, we get lower score every day. The schedules number is the same
  13. Well, this happens the last two days: for every flight we make, our score goes down!! Since the VA got in vacentral, every flight was giving 1 point (sometimes 2 and i do not know why), but the last two days we get penalized when fly!! funny No change have been made to our schedules or pilots, and the flights made are as scheduled (aircraft, time etc), i cannot understand how this happens
  14. Ha! you are lucky to get an error message! I get nothing when trying to upload image or logo, the "edit" page reloads and this is it
  15. Nabeel, it would be annoying only when the pilot take off and then let the plane cruise alone until TOD. Of course this should not be a standard but optional feature, for any VA who want it. Many many times, pilots reach cruise level, and then go shopping, go sleep,, anywhere doing anything and then come back just to land the plane. This is not simulation, this is just hour hunting and i would love to have the ability in my VA to deny such flights!! And when many many VAs do operate offline, you can imagine what pilots could do just to achieve hours without simulating at all. I think the choice for a VA is needed.
  16. Some acars systems (such as vafs) give the pilots many more information (weather and navigation data, payload details) but i think these are all not needed as we use other ways to collect and use such information. Acars should not act as a guide or flight add-on to help pilots, it should be used to only log data and send them to VA. I think the best for pilots is: - less manually input = less waste of time - many details logged automatically from acars to the pireps without pilot's participation to this - easy to create and send the pirep when finished the flight and for the VAs: - many details given in the pireps (eg landing rate, lights usage, speed limitations and other flight quality parameters) - ability to choose which of them to use, to rate (and/or) accept/deny flights, score/penalty pilots
  17. Ben, I would like to see this in an acars system (some great VAs already have it, the best acars ever seen is Thomson's, Mark1million knows and may could help you more on this): Position reporting. During a flight, the pilots should be asked to confirm he is in the cockpit (eg. asked press a button to prove it). The acars can have it written in the report comments. (for example the comment : time 01:10Z/position confirmed - or NOT confirmed) This could happen several times during a flight, once for small flights, 2 or more for longer ones, and all the comments will appear in the pirep. So, other flights could be accepted, others not. About the data filled by the pilot, it would be fast to have some data automatically filled: load, fuel, aircraft type, departure airport, destination airport etc can fe given to the pirep through fsuipc instead of asking pilots to type. Then, the pirep could be automatically compared to the flight schedules and accept (or not) the flight.
  18. no Tom, i have not

  19. Finally i found what was going wrong! It was an fspax problem, the icao_db.cfg file. Some airports where not in there, so the fspax could not export (this is why some flights were exported and others not). Once updated, fspax is exporting all flights. Updates for icao_db can be found in fspax official site under downloads. Thank for helping me so far on this matter
  20. Nabeel, any news for these 2 issues?
  21. Hi, there are some issues about vacentral that i do not know how to fix: 1. the logo and/or other images do not upload 2. in the VA details page, the graph of daily pireps is inactive 3. when a pirep arrives, it is counted in the VAs list, before it is accepted. So, sometimes the flights number is not correct. If a pirep is declined, it still counts in vacentral, i think this is wrong Any help on these please?? and: * A mistake in vacentral: in the profile page, the explanation of symbols is wrong, the "PI" is the pireps, not the pilots number also: * a question: as i can understand that some airlines fly offline, i think the online flights (VAs) should be awarded more in the ranking system. don't you agree?
  22. hm....hope it will this way in the new skin.....
  23. No changes in database. The only change i made is that i removed the drop down menu for choosing a hub from the registration form, as i do not want this to appear when registering. I restored the original templates and it worked. When removing the hub choice, it happens again
  24. hello, when a new pilot tries to register, the following message appears: "Error Registering Cannot add or update a child row: a foreign key constraint fails (`tecagr_phpvmsTECA`.`phpvms_pilots`, CONSTRAINT `phpvms_pilots_ibfk_1` FOREIGN KEY (`code`) REFERENCES `phpvms_airlines` (`code`) ON UPDATE CASCADE)" any help please???
