  1. Unfortunately I've already done what your instructions say. When I hit login after having setup the client I get a Connection Error. Ok. I just told the client to show errors on website and here is what it reported. Notify System Administrator with the following error code <br/> <b>Fatal error</b>: Call to undefined function mb_detect_encoding() in <b>G:\Apache2.2\htdocs\core\modules\kACARS_Free\kACARS_Free.php</b> on line <b>39</b><br/> You may be able to continue -- Notifty System Administrator of the Switch error. Data not recieved Switch = verify ----- The issue has been solved. I found the solution here --> http://forum.phpvms.net/topic/7448-connection-error-after-going-to-server-hosted-by-me-with-cpanel/ After enabling the Multi-Byte String functions it started working.
  2. I can't get kACARS to connect to my site. I just installed the kACARS free module (v1.0.1.1) and am using the appropriate client but when I try to connect it gives me a connection error.
  3. I've been trying to get phpVMS to install on my server for the last day and a half. I get all the way to the point where it should be creating database tables and it stalls there. I've run both checkinstall.php and checkdb.php checkinstall.php result: phpVMS Virtual Airline Administration Software Install Check phpVMS Build Number: 934 Checking PHP version [OK] PHP version is 5.3.3.x ASP Tags [OK] ASP-style tags are disabled Checking connectivity... [OK] Can contact outside servers Checking for SimpleXML module... [OK] SimpleXML module exists! Checking file hashes for corrupt or mismatched files [OK] No errors found! -- Checked 183 files, found 0 errors checkdb.php result: An Error Was Encountered phpVMS has not been installed yet! Goto install/install.php to start! I checked the error log for Apache and I get the following error reference repeatedly: File does not exist: C:/Program Files/Apache Software Foundation/Apache2.2/htdocs/phpvms/lib/js/jquery.min.js I have checked and the file referenced above is indeed missing. Downloading the missing javascript file and putting it in the specified directory has not really changed the results except that Apache no longer reports an error. Ok... So I've solved the problem though the solution doesn't make any sense. For some reason, unlike in the past, the site will not install if you are on the computer in which the webserver/MySQL server is running on. I had to do the install from my phone before it would work.
  4. I am finally getting around to working on my personal VA after several months of putting it off. I would like to participate with vaCentral but I see that there's a fine if you don't have expenses setup. Unfortunately I really don't have any idea what I should be doing for expenses. Could anyone give me some ideas on how to handle this?

    e-mail setup

You know, Keith. For someone who didn't want to run the VA that sure is a rather arrogant remark. I suppose you are also behind my not having access to the site now too? And here all this time I thought it was Jess. Might explain why I never got an e-mail back from you with an explanation as to WTF happened.
  6. The flights in question are every day of the week. Any new schedule I add shows up in the admin panel but fails to show up in the pilot center. Grr.. Figured it out. Now I wanna shoot one of the other admins. The admin suffering from the ID10T error set the planes that the schedules rely on to be rank reliant.
  7. I've been having this problem as well I've tried pretty much all the maintenance functions to try and fix it, but none of those have helped. Has anyone been able to fix this problem?

    e-mail setup

Ok. Clearing the Cache did absolutely nothing. The only PHP applications running on the server is phpVMS. Everything else is running ASP (dot net nuke). I did not realize at first that phpVMS had its own way of sending e-mails so we setup the use of SMTP (using several different providers) to no avail. After which I found out that the system had its own way of doing e-mail. So we disabled using SMTP and unfortunately its still not working. Is there something that we have to get the server provider to do to make it work? Go ahead and close and lock this thread. The problem will never be solved now as the lead admin for the site has deleted the VA.
  9. Thank you. That fixed the problem.
  10. I have the following error on pretty much all the pages. The line number changes with each page it seems. Warning: date() [function.date]: It is not safe to rely on the system's timezone settings. You are *required* to use the date.timezone setting or the date_default_timezone_set() function. In case you used any of those methods and you are still getting this warning, you most likely misspelled the timezone identifier. We selected 'America/Los_Angeles' for '-7.0/DST' instead in F:\Program Files\Apache Software Foundation\Apache2.2\htdocs\core\modules\news\news.php on line 45 or Warning: date() [function.date]: It is not safe to rely on the system's timezone settings. You are *required* to use the date.timezone setting or the date_default_timezone_set() function. In case you used any of those methods and you are still getting this warning, you most likely misspelled the timezone identifier. We selected 'America/Los_Angeles' for '-7.0/DST' instead in F:\Program Files\Apache Software Foundation\Apache2.2\htdocs\lib\skins\crystal\layout.tpl on line 117 I also got the following error to start out with but it seems to have corrected itself. Warning: strtotime() [function.strtotime]: It is not safe to rely on the system's timezone settings. You are *required* to use the date.timezone setting or the date_default_timezone_set() function. In case you used any of those methods and you are still getting this warning, you most likely misspelled the timezone identifier.
