freshJet Posted September 21, 2013 Report Posted September 21, 2013 I've seen this discussed elsewhere but wondered what our phpVMS developers' preferences are. Personally I use dashes, but I use underscores in image filenames. For those confused, by element name I mean: #main {} So, for example, do you use: #main-div {} or #main_div {} ? Quote
BaRBeR Posted September 21, 2013 Report Posted September 21, 2013 I dont really know why, I think I just do it out of force of habit but I use underscores :L Quote
magicflyer Posted September 21, 2013 Report Posted September 21, 2013 I prefer _ just because I tend to use them a lot in OOP. Quote
Members Vangelis Posted September 22, 2013 Members Report Posted September 22, 2013 I also use underscore as i think it is easyer to catch it with your eye Quote
Tom Posted September 22, 2013 Report Posted September 22, 2013 Underscore is messy IMO... always a dash in CSS for me. Also just noticed your examples all use IDs - best practice is to never use IDs in CSS - to override the style of an ID you need 256 classes - so stick to just using classes as much as possible. 1 Quote
