UAVCEO
IE is Internet Explorer, which is pure trash. When using it, pilots can't log in and file PIREPS. Has anybody else experienced problems? (I used Firefox for the whole process, but somebody said they couldn't acess the pilot center, so I think they are using IE, which doesn't work well.) Administrators Nabeel Posted December 31, 2008 Administrators Report Share Posted December 31, 2008 Yeh, IE has CSS issues. Otherwise it should work (I tested the default templates). What problem are they having specifically, what do they mean by 'cant access'?
UAVCEO
I created a John Doe (test account, which would make it like any other pilot) to test out problems. One of my pilots was experiencing problems. This is what happened: He registered and everything, but he says when he logs in he doesn't see the 'Pilot Center' tab. I tried it out, and it's not a site issue, because everything is okay on Firefox. On IE, though, I tried it out, but when I login, it goes back to the home page and it seems that I didn't login. It's very weird, but for now I'll just tell people not to use IE if they have issues.
Administrators Nabeel Posted January 1, 2009 Administrators Report Share Posted January 1, 2009 What are you IE security settings? It may have disabled redirects
UAVCEO
Okay, now there is a problem. Even though IE is a problem, the guy who is having the problem which made me bring this up is using Firefox. I am using it, though, and there is not problem at all. Administrators Nabeel Posted January 1, 2009 Administrators Report Share Posted January 1, 2009 He doesn't get redirected after login? Is that the problem? Can he access the pilot center directly? If its redirect, seems like a javascript setting, blocking redirects, or some add-on doing it.
UAVCEO
I better ask him, but I'll check his js settings. I also told him to enable cookies, because I have a problem like his with cookies disabled.
Administrators Nabeel Posted January 1, 2009 Administrators Report Share Posted January 1, 2009 Yes cookies is one. There is a link there though that says if you don't get redirected, to click it. Does that work?
UAVCEO
With javascript off, yes, I saw that, so I'm thinking it's the cookies issue, because I messed around with Firefox and you can't login with cookies disabled.
UAVCEO
Here is his problem: "I am able to log in. I'm taken to the home page. At the top of the page I see the following tabs: Home login register pilots live map. On the right side of the page is a list of Resent Reports and New Pilots." He is using Firefox and also did the things above.
Administrators Nabeel Posted January 4, 2009 Administrators Report Share Posted January 4, 2009 Are his cookies enabled? He's not being logged in, most likely because of cookies.
UAVCEO
I think he checked those as well, but what would be the case if his cookies were enabled. (I am thinking hr did not checked, though. I tried different settings in Firefox for me to figure out this problem, and that is the only way things didn't work.)
