Schedule import

GREAT JOB on the latest version BTW.

I am just wondering, I exported, changed, and them imported my scedules. It would seem that the update works, however none of the fees have changed.

Does the import not include the cost of the flight updates ?

well it turns out that nothing is updating.

When I import the schedules I get what seems like great status updates, but when I look again, nothing has actually changed. Do I need to empty the database first before I import a the new changed schedules ?

Can you attach your import file?

Did you do an export first and then use that file to reimport?

i did an export. changed some things using excel, and then imported that file.

What is confusing me is that it seems to work...just no changes actually show up.

I can add a new flight, i just can't seem to change the existing ones...

Can you enable DEBUG_MODE (set it to true) in the local.config.php, and then try an import, and see if there are errors in core/logs/log.txt (make sure it's writeable first)

there is absolutely nothing in the log.txt or the errors.txt files

So then they probably are updating properly. Was that log.txt file writeable?

it was writable.

it seems that everytime I try the import I get fewer flights. Its gone from 108 to 99 today.

I can add new flights, I just cant seem to make changes to existing ones.

Is there an easy way to delete all flights from the site so I can just import from scratch ?

You can empty the schedules table. That number might just be the ones updated. Are you making drastic changes and not seeing them reflected? What's an example of changes you're not seeing?

I have been experimenting with the changes, and nothing happens. I have tried changing the flight cost, days, times, even flight number.

I can add new things to blank fields ( like routes etc. ), but it doesn't seem to want to make changes to existing information ( for example changing a flight cost from 250 to 600 dollars )

Since joining vabase I nedd to reevaluate my flight fees as I am loosing money hand over fist

its the same file that is attached to reply number 5. I am using micrpsoft excel to edit it, saving it as a comma delimited, and using that.

I have tried to edit it in notepad but it is just too confusing.

Is there perhaps a different program that I should use edit it ?

Sorry, I didn't see that. Let me take a look. I always do an export from Google Docs, a couple of times I've used Excel I had trouble, but I will take a look at this

I fixed a few things, but there were some underlying code changes - If you can check it when beta 872 is up, that'd be helpful. I don't see any problems with your import file. Sorry about that!
