UAVCEO
Okay guys, I'm open for ideas. I just did a very basic skin, so I could open my VA sooner, but I need something new. Here is what I have now. http://unitedvirtual.co.nr/ Any ideas to enhance my site would be appreciated.
Moderators mark1million Posted January 10, 2009 Moderators Report Share Posted January 10, 2009 Im still very much learning my self but a good way to integrate the forum is to create a new page via the site pages and then paste the following, <iframe src="url of your forum" frameborder="0" height="800" width="950"></iframe> You can experiment a bit but for me the height and width seem about right. Im only in the testing stages at the moment getting to learn before i go live but its all great fun Great site by the way!
maxwaldorf
iframe is not search engine friendly and not xhtml compliant... I would rather use <object> tag to insert the other page... You can see the result of an <object> tag at my website Explorer VA In my case, I wrapped phpvms into another system... Up to you !

Administrators Nabeel Posted January 10, 2009 Administrators Report Share Posted January 10, 2009 I would recommend against using iframes... For forums, they have their own skinning usually, similar to the way phpVMS is done. Might be worth looking into (usually its just adding your divs in). I haven't designed it for wrapping etc, so you might run into probs..
