mjrbradley66
Hi, I created my own VA just less than a week ago and all was going fine till I logged in yesterday afternoon and all the sub boxes on the admin enter were open despite me doing anything. I tried to close them but they just remain open all the time. I received a pilot registration but no matter how many times I clicked on it it wouldn't file yet he is in the roster/ pilot list. I then went to the view all pilots list and there was nothing there, yet when i looked at the roster back on the site all the pilots were there. I then went to the add airports page and they had disappeared too. Finally I went to the additional pages that I had added and it was all in code despite me typing them out in full English. When I looked on those pages on the website one was fine but the other had random A's with an accent on. I will leave some screenshots so you may have some clue what i am trying to say but it was fine for the first 4 days but yesterday it stopped working like it should and hasn't gone back to how it should so I thought I would ask if anyone knew anything I can do. There have been no flights flow so far due to not being able to add airports but I believe that system is down. I have only edited the skin template nothing else. Thank you very much for any help you can give. Matthew
Moderators Kyle Posted August 9, 2017 Moderators Report Share Posted August 9, 2017 It sounds like your missing some CSS/JS files. And I see you have Google Chrome, let's right-click on the webpage, and click on inspect. Or press CRTL+SHIFT+I. And show us what the console has to say. web541
I assume you are using phpVMS 5.5.x, it seems that your jQuery is not loading properly, can you try re-uploading this file.
mjrbradley66
I believe my PHP is 5.3 currently. Cheers Matthew
Moderators Kyle Posted August 11, 2017 Moderators Report Share Posted August 11, 2017 Sorry I didn't get the notification on this thread. What we are trying to mean is that the phpVMS version. Try re uploading the file @web541 has mentioned.
mjrbradley66
Hi, My PHP version is 5.3 and that file is 5.5 and when I copied it in it made my entire admin center just be a white page of nothing. If this is the wrong way of doing it please tell me how I re upload it properly . Thanks Matthew

Secondly, try using this version of phpVMS if you have not already Third, if there is still a white page, try looking in your public_html folder for a file called error_log which should give you some more details if it's a server error If that's all resolved, but you cannot connect to your database, in other words, you cannot log in, then try debugging. mjrbradley66
Hi, This is PHP V5.5 on my website currently but I haven't installed it yet. I looked how to upgrade to 5.5 but most people don't recommend doing that. Also if I am using .TPL files will this still work the way it should as if it had .PHP files. Thanks for all the help you are giving. Matthew This is my PHP 5.
web541
This version of phpVMS is currently the most stable, so install that one. Here's how it should look. PHP Version: 5.5 phpVMS Version: 5.5.x Yes, it will still work for .tpl files, but that version is old and outdated so some things may break, but it is still usable if you find the fixes however I do not recommend it. If you are using .tpl version, use PHP version 5.3. Edited August 11, 2017 by web541
mjrbradley66
Hi, would u recommend deleting the tpl files then and then install 5.5 or is there another way if doing it? Cheers Matthew

Cheers Matthew I would recommend doing a complete re-install. It is the easiest and will work the most efficiently. So yes, delete all files and databases (in phpmyadmin) and start again. mjrbradley66
Hi, Sorry if this sounds stupid, I am very new to this, but how do you delete the files in phpmyadmin/which section is it under? Thanks Again Matthew
web541
Click on sunflyvi_phpvms on the left hand column, go to operations, Drop (Delete) Database and it should work. If you have cPanel installed, their database manager should be able to do this for you.
mjrbradley66
Hi, I will try that thanks. Appreciate your help mate. Matthew
mjrbradley66
Hi, I just want to check this is right before I do it, I don't want to ruin everything. Cheers Matthew
web541
Nope, click on sunflyvi_phpvms then go to operations... (as above), don't click the tables below it (like phpvms_acarsdata)
mjrbradley66
This?
web541
Ah ok, go to cpanel and databases (not sure of the name) and delete it from there, then create a new one the same way, then install phpvms again.
mjrbradley66
Went to my SQL Databases and found this?
web541
Yep, hit delete. Just to be clear, you are completely re-installing everything meaning that everything will be deleted and starting from fresh.
mjrbradley66
All deleted, any tips on installing it I should know as last time TFDI design did it for me, or do I just add the files to the correct folders? Thanks again Matthew
web541
Now go to your File Manager and go to public_html and delete everything in there (DO NOT DELETE the public_html folder, but delete all its contents). Next, download phpVMS and then inside the now empty public_html folder, upload all the new phpVMS files. Then go to your MySQL Databases (in cPanel again) and add a new database (and a user). Then, go to http://yourvaurl.com/install/install.php and fill in your details. After that, you should be all good to go. Virtualei
Please search as this error has been seen before. It would save you time rather than waiting for a reply
