fourier1991
Hello, We are creating a new virtual airline with phpVMS. The problem is that we have realized that when we create a route, it is mandatory to assign a plane (registration). We were wondering if there was an alternative scheduling system where possible to choose between different aircrafts available at the current location to perform that flight. Thanks in advance, Best regards
hecrowell
Hello fourier1991 yes, there is a way to do that. We simply created a ficticuous airplane called "Any" and used that as the default aircraft. You can name it whatever you want. I have not experimented with the checkbox at the end of the form (think it might be Active) to see if that would make it invisible or greyed out in the fleet list. If you do test that, ir would be nice to know. now in kACARS, the pilot inputs the flight number, then hits the Get Flight Info block. Then he has the ability to select then load his favorite aircraft from the select aircraft drop down. works great for us here at www.fsnb.ca/Airline hope this helps, and GL with your VA! Moderators servetas Posted September 16, 2017 Moderators Report Share Posted September 16, 2017 @hecrowell gave a good solution. In general, it is not possible to select multiple types or registrations of aircraft for a specific schedule. I have developed several systems which can do that but I have decided not to release anything considering that further changes are required (into the core of the phpVMS and the ACARS systems).
