So, I'm not a complete noob at website building, but this has been a little difficult (3 days in the works)

I've finally made it to the phpVMS is not installed page, but after clicking "Head on to the installer" I get a 404 error.

it seems to be attempting to point to http://192.168.0.133/public/install (I'm currently setting this up in a VM which is why its pointing to said IP address)

Am I missing something?

currently using PHP v8.1 on a NGINX webserver inside Ubuntu 20.08

404 is simple, it says the file it needs is not there. Also it may be an .htaccess issue too.

Are you 100% sure you get the full pack (including vendors) or just pulled from github without them ?

http://downloads.phpvms.net/phpvms-7.0.0-dev.tar.gz (This is the latest dev build)

I am using Laragon 5 for my local server needs, if you are on Windows you can try installing v7 without the VM trick by using Laragon too. It will be less painful ;)

NGINX doesn't use .htaccess so I'm assuming that it could be a permission issue, or there is a webpage link missing.

I've done both ways, I've direct downloaded the .tar, and I've cloned the git. Both options end up the same way for me I can get to the index.php, but when I go for the installer, it 404s out...

I'm gonna try the link you included since maybe the one i used is different.

is this page working, because anytime I click on it, it does not work? it doesn't open a new page, nor does it begin a download.

EDIT: Ok after right clicking on it and SAVE LINK AS... it has downloaded. but now its bedtime, so I'll try uploading it tomorrow morning
