Not understanding installation docs

Hey guys, I'm completely new to this kind of website building (I use webs.com for my airline, but I'm switching to http://www.000webhost.com/ to get PHP). I have no idea how to give permission to whatever and that stuff. Can anyone help me by installing phpVMS to my website? If you could that would be great.

OK you need a server capable of parsing php code and a mysql database.

All you need to do is upload to your root directory the files and set the username and password for the connection of phpvms to your database.

Do you know how to set that bit up?

well i can help you with installation of phpvms but first i want to say that free hosting doesn't working good with phpvms PM me if you want

The host I'm using has the latest of PHP and MySQL.

I know how to upload the files. Should I rename phpVMS.full to public_html?

Your host will be able to assist you where you need to put the files but its usually in the public html folder, just extract the download and go to your site to see if thats the right place.

ok you don't have to rename it. listen upload your entire phpvms zip file in publich_html on your server and then just visit to you site and the installation page will be opened listen give me your msn or skype or yahoo and i'll install it for you

No you do not upload the zip file. Unzip the zip file to your computer. Then double click on the folder that you just unzipped. It will contain all of the flies and folder necessary to run phpVMS. Upload all of the folders to your web server inside of the public_html folder on your server.

Then you need to set some file permissions. They need to be set to writeable.

Then visit your site and the installation page should come up for you. After that simply follow the on screen instructions.

yes tav1702 but, it's a harder work. if he has a cpanel it's easy to upload howl zip folder and then just extract it on server and that's all than write permissions and install it need less than 10 minutes

same iff you first unzip and then upload the files it takes rond the 6 minutes and its easyer for newcomers to phpvms

If you have root access then just use wget downloaded in less than 20 seconds unzip on the server and away you go
