austin4362 Posted June 23, 2011 Report Posted June 23, 2011 My airline recently purchased a custom version of kACARS. Although, now when i open it, and navigate to another program such as flight sim, it crashes. This isn't only happening to me. Im running Windows 7 x64. Anyone have any possible solutions in mind? flyalaska Posted June 24, 2011 Report Posted June 24, 2011 Going to ask the obvious, do you have FSUIPC installed? Quote
Guest lorathon Posted June 24, 2011 Report Posted June 24, 2011 Not sure how to help you. Any other information would be helpful. Quote
austin4362 Posted June 24, 2011 Author Report Posted June 24, 2011 Well there isnt much information to give, it just says "kACARS Has stopped responding" and it gives you the option to close, find a solution and, try to resume. Then, when i hit find solution, nothing comes up. Does kACARS have compatibility issues with Win 7? And this never happened to me when i used a free version of kACARS. Quote

Sorry for butting in, but are you running the KAacars as admin (right click, go properties then compatibility then select run as admin)? You do need to for Win7. Quote

Moderators mark1million Posted June 24, 2011 Moderators Report Posted June 24, 2011 Usually i find pilots who experience this error they have a problem with their dot net framework, could be a remove and reinstall of the framework will solve your problem. Quote
Guest lorathon Posted June 24, 2011 Report Posted June 24, 2011 Thanks guys for the help. I have never heard of this happening. Usually there is some error code that I can trace. Quote

Guest lorathon Posted June 26, 2011 Report Posted June 26, 2011 That sounds like a serious .NET error. Quote
austin4362 Posted June 27, 2011 Author Report Posted June 27, 2011 That sounds like a serious .NET error. But that wouldnt cause it to crash for every single pilot, i have over 100 and at least 40 said it wont work. Quote
Guest lorathon Posted June 27, 2011 Report Posted June 27, 2011 I will re compile the application this evening. Quote
Guest lorathon Posted June 28, 2011 Report Posted June 28, 2011 Re-compiled and sent to purchaser. If you have any issues email me. Quote
Guest lorathon Posted June 30, 2011 Report Posted June 30, 2011 No problem. Glad I could help. Please email me regarding Custom issues the next time. I do not want to confuse Free version users or users of other customs version. Not all solutions work for all custom apps. Quote
