RogerB
I've noticed that kacars free registers constant pauses if you switch screens while flying, for instance from the flight to your desktop (flight sim is minimized). My sim doesn't pause when I do so and this clutters up the flight data with pauses that aren't really pauses at all. I really do see the need for this, or it is just an error. MBrown
That's strange. Whenever I minimize Flight Sim it doesn't pause either, it continues running. But I don't get any "pauses" registered in kACARS.
Moderators Kyle Posted November 7, 2011 Moderators Report Share Posted November 7, 2011 Maybe your setting is on to task switch on pause. Go to FS Settings, go to General, and uncheck "Pasue on task switch" and it should stop the pausing on task switch. If it is correct... then I don't know what else. Guest lorathon
kACARS_Free should only log a pause if FS is actually paused. I would check the settings that Vansers is suggesting.
bigrossco
check your Flight Sim Settings as you can set flight sim to continue flying when you come out the game as by default it will pause the game if you come out
RogerB
I did state in my post that my rig is already set up to not do that, but I don't think I've registered a flight with the updated kacars (1.0.1..0), so I'll find out on my next flight.. RogerB
I double checked my settings and my sim is set to "not" pause on task switch. If I minimize flight sim to update my weather or what ever it registers a pause... version 1.0.1.
Guest lorathon
Strange, this is the first I have ever heard of this. I will take a look.
Moderators mark1million Posted November 10, 2011 Moderators Report Share Posted November 10, 2011 Yes it will do, you notice if FS reloads or refreshed it will also log a pause. If for what ever reason FS just hangs as it does every now and again that will also register a pause.
Guest lorathon
hmmm...... If FS sets the pause flag then kACARS logs it. Well I guess that I can remove the pause log or make it a setting. If to log or not. Any thoughts?
RogerB
Maybe make it an option.....Unless it can be fixed.
t_bergman
Maybe make it an option.....Unless it can be fixed. If making an option, is there anyway to do this from the admin side of things. just thinking out loud. Tom
Guest lorathon
I am not sure how to fix. Like stated above if FS sets the pause tag then FSUIPC assumes that FS is paused. In turn then kACARS_Free assumes that FS is paused. But I will take a look and see if there is anyway to fix it. As for an option I would code it as an option in the module. So the VA owner can set the option.
