atlanticva Posted December 21, 2011 Report Share Posted December 21, 2011 AIV Announces Completion of Phase I Development Stage 12 months of Development for re-launch Virtual Airlines Operation ends DULLES, VA (KIAD) — December 20, 2011 — Today at Atlantic International Virtual Airlines Headquarters and KIAD Hanger ground breaking, AIV announced the ending of Phase I Development stage. Atlantic International Virtual started the development stage back in January 2011 on plans for re-launching their Virtual Airline that will mirror real world airline operations. AIV has created 3 phases of their re-launch which should be completed in the First Quarter of 2012. Phase I consisted of the web development of Atlantic International Virtual domain at http://atlanticva.org which is now completed. AIV has started Phase II (Operations) which it consist of hiring all required volunteer staff members to run Atlantic International Virtual Airlines. "We will begin the hiring process for Atlantic International Virtual Senior Staff and operations staff", said Andrew Horn, Atlantic International Virtual Airlines, Vice President of Corporate Operations. We will search and bring on committed professional staff members, both real world airline employees and flight simulation aviation enthusiasts alike. If you are interested in a staff position, email workhere@atlanticva.org to find out which positions are still are available. The only requirement is a love of aviation and a willingness to help others. During phase II both Vice President of each division will begin the construction of their department. The Flight Operations Department and Corporate Operations has already begun their phase II development tasks. Atlantic International Virtual Fleet is pleased to announce we have chosen the fleet selection and paint scheme. AIV’s Airline Operations Department has worked countless hours on our own flight schedule which we announced our final schedule last week. Atlantic International Virtual staff will continue to develop and improved our systems that will increase our membership body. During Phase II our Member Relations Department will work with our Training Department to start the membership criteria. Below please see our tentative phase II items that should be completed before our re-launch date. Phase II Task Executive Department- Finalized AIV Go Forward and Business Plan. Human Resources- Create a hiring criteria policy for Staff members, Hire all required staff to fill AIV operations needs, finalized AIV Staff Manuel, Create an award and recognition system for staff. System Operations- Finalized AIV’s Flight System. Marketing and Public Relations- Complete a Marketing Plan, work on establishing partnerships with other Virtual Airlines and business entities. Information Technology-Start Beta testing of http://atlanticva.org, Finalized AIV’s Communication System, Integrate AIV’s Dispatch/Crew Scheduling System and ACARS Program. Flight Standards and Training- AIV Training and Recurrent Curriculum, AIV Checkride and proficiency system. Flight Operation and Fleet- Paint all aircraft's, Create a member policy and procedures Manuel, Create AIV’s Ranking System (CAT System), Create AIV’s Flight Operations Manuel (FOM).
