jkr1711
Hi, I've decided to give my startup VA a unique look (after looking at some opinion polls) by starting from scratch. I am of a decent standard in HTML4 and CSS; so I am trying to make my VA website from scratch in Dreamweaver. I have some questions: Will I have to edit the .tpl files in the /template folder to make the site or is there a way to implement the individual phpVMS modules into my .php site? How would I get the admin center show on the navbar (custom made) only when I log in? and How would I get the new site communicating with the control panel? Thanks for your help, John Richardson Owner - Yorkshire Air

jkr1711
Have you read the documentation ? http://forum.phpvms.net/page/index.html?category=5 Yep I've read it, doesn't mention anything about "importing" or implementing certain modules/elements of phpVMS into a website made from scratch not in the .tpl format or in standard layout. miniarma
Most modules can be easily installed anyway. Just follow the documentation that comes with the module or find the forum page for the module and ask for help.
freshJet
It's not hard. Import everything you'd usually get and rename the html file as layout.tpl. Then use the crystal skin to replace the content with the PHP for the phpVMS content.
Strider
Any template files you edit, must be relocated to the skin folder you are using, otherwise in an update those template files will get overwritten, and you will be back to square one with them. The best way, is to create a full html mock up of the template, then break it down into the template files you want.
