So I spent a few hours designing a website for a new project I'm thinking of starting.

This morning I started with the repaint but after a couple of hours, the design I thought looked great in photoshop:

Turned out to be rubbish in FSX:

Would anyone have any ideas/tips on how I can make the repaint more realistic?

Thanks :-)

Lol, and probably silly question but you're sure you are saving in 32bit quality and not 16bit or something :S

But to be honest from the photo it doesn't look too bad, if it's any consolation if I remember right I've always had a problem painting the POSKY 737-800.

I have no idea why in photoshop it's fine and when in FS it looks like the opacity has been made lighter or something, one half of the plane is lighter than the other and oh I don't know.

Yet all the other planes I do look great! Maybe... you might just have to ditch your order of 737-800 and opt for another model of say Airbus maybe? :D

Hey James,

I used to paint aircrafts in the past, but I remember, once after merging the paints and saving them into BMP, and then I used DXTBmp and saved the paints in a same file format but different kind. I can't remember really. But once I saved the repaint in DXTBmp on a different format, it made my repaints look almost like high quailty.

There was this good tutorial all done in PDF and full detailed on how to's. I wished I had that PDF file still... :(

I completly forgot about DXTbmp  I was also saving it as a 16bit file <_< Its being a while since I have done this so it looks like I have forgotten alot of stuff.

Thanks to everyone who posted, you helped alot :)
