Moderators joeri Posted June 7, 2009 Moderators Report Posted June 7, 2009 would it be possible to put on the aircrafts report page to put someting that when a plane have some hours it has to go to maintenance and the routes of that plane not visible in the bids page or something like that. gr joeri Quote
Administrators Nabeel Posted June 8, 2009 Administrators Report Posted June 8, 2009 Interesting concept Quote
Moderators joeri Posted June 8, 2009 Author Moderators Report Posted June 8, 2009 yes i thought so if you are putting up a financials system the planes have sometimes not be able to fly it makes it more realistic. gr joeri Quote
Administrators Nabeel Posted June 8, 2009 Administrators Report Posted June 8, 2009 I think (I should know this, right?) that you can disable planes. But after a plane is made unavailable, then what? If a plane is under 'maintenance', another plane is brought for that route (or it's scheduled at least), what happens then? Quote
Moderators joeri Posted June 8, 2009 Author Moderators Report Posted June 8, 2009 id say the route's of that plane will not be availabel for the duration of the maintenance. lets say 3 maintenance would be avail, small, medium, big. so if a plane has to get a small maint no problem routes wil be out for lets say 2 days a big maint would last for a week if you have a plane of the same kind you could put this on the route. if no plane is avail you could charter a plane from a other company and pay for it. something like this. Administrators Nabeel Posted June 8, 2009 Administrators Report Posted June 8, 2009 A little too complicated to do automated, but there is the aircraft stats screen which you can utilize for this purpose. It'll be low on the list Quote
Moderators joeri Posted June 8, 2009 Author Moderators Report Posted June 8, 2009 yes it is but if the possebilaty is there to put a plane in maint it would be great and maby somesort of counter that says you plane has 500 hours it needs maint. gr joeri Quote
PLS001 Posted June 12, 2009 Report Posted June 12, 2009 We been doing this for a while, but to avoid complications we do it vbia the forum and use a virtual logging system.basicallly when we fly an aircraft we log where it is and the next flight carries on from where we left it etc. And this gives the operstions manager something to do in keeping an eye on the aircraft hour from the financial side of things. However if someone knows of a better way please help :-) Quote
