in2tech Posted July 16, 2009 Report Posted July 16, 2009 Is it possible to expand the width of a template or skin? Are the settings in the style sheet to achieve this? I want to expand the look of my va so things fit a little better, if that will help! www.virtualaircargo.com Thanks! Quote
patva1 Posted July 17, 2009 Report Posted July 17, 2009 If you have Firefox or don't mind using it I would suggest Firebug: http://getfirebug.com/ I was told about it by Nabeel and it has helped me a lot. If you need any help just let me know. Quote
in2tech Posted July 17, 2009 Author Report Posted July 17, 2009 I don't mind using Frefox and Firebug if it will help me. What does firebug do exactly? I have been to the site but don't really understand it yet. I have also seen Nabeel use in the skinning tutorial. Thanks! Quote
patva1 Posted July 19, 2009 Report Posted July 19, 2009 It allows you to view changes to your CSS, things such as width, in real time, then all you have to do is go in to your CSS on the server and change it permanently. When you open it, click on the inspect button. Then you just have to move your pointer over the area you want to change and it will automatically pull up the appropriate entry in your CSS. Quote
Administrators Nabeel Posted July 21, 2009 Administrators Report Posted July 21, 2009 Yes, it's whatever width you set in your CSS or if you're using tables, whatever that width is Quote
