  1. [May 11, 2011] - Seattle, Washington - Legend Air Virtual Corporate Offices It brings me great pride to announce the release date for Legend Air's new beta site. During the afternoon/evening of May 26, 2011, Legend Air executives will be releasing the new site to the public as well as all of its features. The new site will bring the following to the new face of Legend Air: New, realistic, clean website layout customarily designed to perfection. New, clean, fleet v2.0 sporting the newest Legend Air baremetal livery that has only been seen in a few pictures. Legend Air's SkyAcademy to train pilots of any skill level as needed. SkyOne's standalone "IFS" application with tons of features. New pilot center with many addons that have been customized to meet the high demand of Legend Air. New manuals for every aircraft including checklists. and more! We can not release all the information at this time as we want there to be features that you can discover once the site is released! Wait, there is more! Legend Air has decided to participate in two events on the 27th, and the 28th respectively, to help kick off the release of the new site and announcing the theoretical "re-opening" of the airline. The events have already been posted to the unreleased site, and pilots will be able to sign up for the events when the site is released on the 26th. Wait, there is even more! Legend Air has created its own Virtual Alliance called "SkyOne". We are looking for other members of the virtual alliance but will have a few requirements. Currently, we are looking for airlines that operate mainly outside of the United States and are not a real world airline or participate in any other virtual alliances. 2. Looking good! I have a few words of advice: I am not a Virtual Airline expert but have had some experience with both big and small VA's. SkyBus is closed in real life as you probably know from research and I'm guessing you want to model them as close to realistically as possible. If you take a closer look, real world SkyBus only operated out of 17 destinations across the United States. By the looks of your selected route maps it looks like you are trying to service every major airport known to man as well as destinations outside of the US. This could be good as you are expanding off of the base that they have set but can also be a major downfall. Members looking to join your VA will most likely want realism from it. Although it is no longer an active airline, people may have had experiences on it before hand and may want to be able to fly some of the same operations as before. You only have 3 pilots right now, one being yourself so the expansive route selection is quite big for the amount of pilots you have, especially since you are based off of a real world(now closed) airline. I'd say stick with their original destinations and routes for now, and once you get more pilots start expanding. Legend Air started very big and now, months later we are having problems because of our initial massive route selection. Now we are rewriting all of our routes and are having to spend even more time making them more realistic. None of this is meant to smash your VA in any way, they are all words of advice that you can use or not. I like that you are reaching for the top! I sent this publicly so other CEO's can see my advice and expand or fix what I have said. I wish you the best of luck with SkyBus! Regards, Tory H.
  3. Legend Air has some exciting news as well as a few candy shots for the public! For a few weeks now, our new webmaster has been working on a true masterpiece that will be released in the next few weeks! Rumors have been going around to what this surprise actually is, but today some of that information will be released. Here is what we have been working on behind the scenes: A custom website that will have countless features/add-ons to make the pilots experience even better! Our custom IFS system has been developed and finished, it is only V1.0 and will have updates later. However SkyOne Entertainment V1.0 looks very nice! Our very own flight tracking program is being developed as well, nicknamed iTrack. This will ease the demand on pilots tracking and filing their flights. Our fleet V2.0 is almost complete. We have torn down every aircraft and rebuilt/repainted each and every one in a new, bare metal paint scheme. Fleet cuts, we have cut our current fleet down to Legend Express: EMB-120, ERJ-145, and CRJ-900. Legend Mainline: A319-111, B737-782, B737-882, B757-282, and B747-482M(A Combi, half PAX, half Cargo Model best known from KLM's 747-406M). and much much more!!! We will keep everyone updated on the status of the new site, as well as the many features that will come with it! And now..... for some pictures! Our new Boeing 747-482M departing KSEA for it's first flight! Boeing 737-782. Boeing 757-282. Boeing 747-482M. Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to the new face of Legend Air Virtual!

  8. [Thursday November 4, 2010 9:30 PM - KSEA Seattle Washington] Hello, My name is Tory Hollins and I am the proud CEO/Owner of the new Legend Air! I posted a while ago about the possibility of this airline coming back and tonight I have finished putting together the final details for our grand opening! We will be having a group flight on the VATSIM network to kick off the LEV grand opening on November 11, 2010. This will also serve as our official opening date for all operations nationwide! Details for the event will be posted on our website/forums as well as more information about the opening. Pilot applications are open as of now and we will start looking them over November 5, 2010 and adding to our roster. I'd like to take a few moments of your time to share a little bit more about Legend Air and what makes us different. Legend Air serves 38 US Cities from its two major hubs(KSEA, KSAN) and its three minor hubs(KTPA, KBOS, and KDEN). LEV currently operates 13 B737-700's and 4 B737-800's on 118 routes daily to those 38 destinations nationwide. Like any real airline starting up, we have started fairly small and set up all of the financial aspects of an airline as realistically as possible. Over time as we gain more pilots and money, we will add the A319 and A320 along with flights to Mexico, Canada, and more United States destinations. If we keep expanding at a decent rate, we will order 757-200's, 767-300's, and 777-200's while expanding to European, Asian and African destinations. Next would be the Airbus A380, 747-8i, and 787-800 while adding service to Australia and South America but also adding more routes to the areas we already serve. The last step for Legend Air is to work on building a regional airline to better serve the smaller cities around the United States. We have our goals set out and ready, but now only need one thing.... Pilots! Are you ready to fly like a Legend? Check out Legend Air at www.legend-virtual.org. Legend Air, Legendary in the Skies! If you have any questions, comments, or concerns please feel free to reply to this, or email me via the "About Us" page on the LEV site. Thank you for your time, I am very excited to be leading this airline back on the web!

  10. [Wednesday October 20, 2010 - KSEA Seattle, Washington] It has been announced that Legend Air Virtual, once LEG in the Virtual Community may be making a return very soon. "I have been toying with the idea for a while now, and the more work I put into the VA setup, the more excited I am becoming about it." Says President Tory Hollins. LEG now LEV once operated out of the hubs KDEN, KSEA, KBOS, and TBPB serving destinations world-wide with a modest fleet as well as its own regional airline. "It was just too big too fast, We didn't have any goals or missions to build on. Everything was already there and very un-realistic." Stated Hollins "Thinking about it, it wasn't a 'fun' VA. Now we are thinking about re-opening but with a totally new look and feel." "LEV would be a US only VA to start serving only 38 cities with a very small mix of 737-700's and 737-800's. This would give us a more realistic feel as we are only starting out with smaller cities and airports with a very small fleet." Over time, LEV hopes to earn enough funds to start purchasing and leasing new aircraft while expanding operations to more cities and eventually countries. "Honestly, i think this would be the most realistic VA on the web today. It will be a long project but will be fun as we all need to work together to achive our goal and expand. In real life, this would most likely be competing with Southwest Airlines as the bases are the same, however we have selected a few different cities. We will not be open to applications for a while, but will be posting updates as much as possible on our site." For more information or to witness the re-building, visit www.legend-virtual.org.
