  2. Wow, looking very nice! If this ever becomes available for sale or use on other phpVMS VAs, Legend Air will definitely be interested!
  3. [June 12, 2012] - Seattle, Washington - Legend Air Virtual Headquarters Today marks yet another milestone for Legend Air as we become one of many great VA's to pass the 1,000 flight hour mark. Today, CEO Tory Hollins and CAO Chris Bugyi flew charter flight legs LEV249 and LEV250 from LPMA to GCXO, Legend Air flights 613 and 614. Upon completion of these flights, Legend Air reached and passed the 1,000 flight hour mark! The Legend Air staff would like to take a moment to recognize this achievement, as well as thank all of the members (both staff and pilots), who have made this achievement possible. Thank you all! There are many big things going on at Legend Air as we speak, head on over to www.legend-virtual.org today!
  4. I really like the aft section. Good luck on the VA! Wish you the best and welcome to the phpVMS community.
  5. Agreed. That British Airways does this and it definitely will scare away a lot of potential pilots. Sure it's more realistic, but personally I won't touch that BVA anymore because of it. I applied once and waited forever, getting my hopes up an such, only to receive the email a few weeks later saying that I didn't make it. It definitely can have a bad effect on your VA and in my mind creates just another limit that is unessecary. I would stick with your current method of an initial exam for placement and that is it! Sites looking great btw !
  6. Tonight, April 08, 2012 marks a very big milestone for Legend Air. We have reached and surpassed the 500 flight/800 hour mark! Our pilots have been working very hard to get us to this point, and I am very proud of how the airline is coming along. We hope to pass the 1,000 hour mark here in the next couple of weeks and put a big dent in our mission for 1000 flights!
  7. We could just add them, but it is kind of cool to extend your contacts and work with other VA's out there to bring your airline to a whole new level of realism. We have 737-700's and -800's both NG but we are looking to add some age to our fleet and add a better "middle man" for pilots transitioning from our express fleet (EMB-120's, ERJ-145's, CRJ-900's, some are older aircraft). The reason we are looking to lease first is to see how the pilots react and how much they are used. If they are used a lot we would look to buy, if not, we arent tied down. Agreed! I love the way the look, sound, and fly. Saw one tonight in DL colors at DEN in real world. Made my night!
  8. My webmaster brought to my attention a very hurtful link this evening. Unfortunately, my webmasters hard work has been stolen and is currently trying to be used on another website. I will not release that website at this time as I am awaiting a response from the airlines CEO about this matter. It hurts to know that someone else's great and hard work can be just taken like this, in an attempt at making their website look as good. I am calling upon the VA community to put a stop to this, and stand up against this fraud. It's sad that the same person who has been found of stealing websites in the past, has Done this again and thought he could get away with it. Please keep your eyes open, and speak out against this. It is not right, and against the law. As for the "CEO" who stole our website, I question your leadership qualities and your personal qualities. You know who you are, and I am sad to see you doing this again and to us.

  13. We currently don't have a lot of members with flights over 10. If I made that requirement as high as I would like to, nobody would be qualified for the position for about 3-5 months if they flew every day multiple times. So I wish I could raise that, however we would not be able to achieve the actual goals with a higher minimum requirement. However I am happy to have a RW FAA Instructor and rated ATP 757/767 that will be taking over our Heavy program as CP!
  14. Legend Air SkyAcademy is about to open to the public! However, we are currently in need of Chief Pilots for all programs to ensure the Academy moves along as planned. The specifications of applicants are as follows: Must be an Active Legend Air member. Must have at least 5 flights for Legend Air. Must be able to work as a team member, Must be able to provide 1-3 hours a day depending on pilot activity. Must not hold a staff position at any other VA (You can fly for as many VA's as you would like, however you are not permitted to hold another staff position outside of the airline at any time). Must have knowledge of the aircraft program they apply to. Must have a clean record with Legend Air. If you feel that you meet these requirements, please send your application to t.hollins[at]legend-virtual.org and include your name, age, date of birth, the position you would like, and why you would fill that position effectively. Perks of the Chief Pilot Positions: Customized "@legend-virtual.org" email address. Automatic promotion to the program you will be the Chief Pilot for (If you are an EFO now, and would like to be the CP for the Heavy Program, as long as you meet the requirements, you are there!). Ability to fly the entire Legend Air fleet regardless of your program. and more! Thank you for your time and I hope to get some applications in soon! www.legend-virtual.org
  15. That is very weird, another user not too long ago tried WestJet and was shut down. I don't think they allow VA's at all....
  16. Like Conor said, even for using their name you need their permission. It is a common misconception that if a VA puts "We are in no way affiliated with or sponsored by Delta Airlines", they are automatically exempt from the copyright infringement and will not get in to trouble or asked to shut down. It is very hard to get an airline to agree with you and allow you to use their name, logo, etc without having a very big, and very good base to start from. Good luck and I hope you find success with Delta VA.
  17. Now through March 5, 2012, FSPremier is offering 25% off all of our hosting packages when you choose to pay Quarterly, Semi-Annually, Annually, Biennially, or Triennially! Use promo code FSP2012 to receive your special 25% off discount! Act Fast! www.fspremier.org (We are currently not open for Aircraft repainting, but will continue that service in March.)
  18. Just wondering... How many VA's are you going to start? I may think about joining, but I would not put in hours on a VA that would just close in a month. You just opened up an airline last month and now have Delta? What are you plans? I'm not trying to "burn" you, or start anything. I just would like to be informed of what your plans are and if this will actually stick around long enough. Thanks.
  19. Austin, I know from past experience that United will not allow you to use their name and logo for that use. If you re-read that "pointless" email you will probably find that it is really telling you no. It is not worth putting in all of the time and effort to be shut down in a few months. There are already two big United Virtual Airlines, both who have written consent by the real world United to use their names/logos. Save yourself the headache and try another airline or create a fictional one. Best of luck!
