I am currently skinning my phpVMS. On the sidebar instead of having the latest pilot and flights just on the home page, I want them on every page so I have put them in the sidebar however when I put this code in: <h2>Our Latest Recruit</h2> <p> <?php MainController::Run('Pilots', 'RecentFrontPage', 1); </p> and on the page it says The "</p>" is on line 36. I might be just not thinking right, because its 01:08 in the morning here lol however I am pretty sure it should work. If you could help then it'd be great. Its pretty much just a coding issue I think though. I might suddenly figure it out or it springs to mind but I am not sure yet Thanks in advance.

phpVMS allowing you to fly to and from any of the airports set, which the admin can choose to either allow it or not to. Also in the CMS, you can choose if to add a new page to the menu, and add or remove links (to other sites/parts of the site).

It just shows that the saying "You get what you pay for" isn't always the case. It is a very good system though, and the fact that your providing it to us free which it must of took months to build, is extremly generous. Thanks

Great offer, just interested in how you can host 120 GB, "unlimited"/200GB bandwidth for free. I am entering the hosting industry and packages which can cost about £8 per month only have about 2GB Max. And if your hosting package says "Unlimited" ds+bw, there is always going to be a fair usage policy. I am not saying it isn't real or trying to put anybody off, the features just sound too high for £0 per month.

Didn't you have to install it? Because it wouldn't work without putting in a MySQL database/user info, your admin account details and VA thing. Unless you went into the coding to do it.

At the moment I am going to recommend my current host, HostingWorld.co.uk. They host cPanel accounts, and their hosting is quite good, definitly works for me at the moment.

Just to update you, I have got a reply back from my old host and they have kindly agreed to host my website again. I am going to sort the website out after I get home. Thank you for all your hosting offers, and I am very greatful.

Ok. Do you think you could set up an FTP account pointing to my golden airways folder. I have had lots of responses from this which I am pleased about, and I am in negotiations with othe people. Also for if and when I finally get hosting, would you know how I would transfer all the files to what ever hosting I have including the MySQL databases?

As you may know, my VA's website has been down for a few months now. I have been trying free hosting companys non stop and trying to install phpVMS on the hosting but non of them seem to work. I can get the first installation page when you fill in the MySQL database info but can't get further than that. It doesn't allow me to. I don't know if its an issue with phpVMS, but it worked a while ago so I am assuming not. I was just wondering if somebody would be kind enough to give us free hosting for a few months, I hope it wont streach out too long but at the moment my webpage is quite rubbish, I just have a temporary website. I would require a panel account because I am wishing to add a forum too. If anybody can help I will be most greatful, and while its being hosted from you, I will add "Hosted by *YourVA*" for credit. Thank you for any offers, ps. I am currently trying to contact our old hosts to try and get free hosting back in the mean time. Wish me luck

By the no cPanel bit, I am guessing you mean that you can't access any panel, or does it mean you use a different panel to cPanel like DirectAdmin?

Oh, so its not just my VA down then. lol I guess its a different situation, I hope that in the next few days I will be starting building my website AGAIN! lol Its really annoying because I am waiting to get the thing set up and doing nothing for my website, then when I am able to start, I have 2 websites to build in a few days. lol But I have a Deputy CEO which will be helping me with my VA website. So he is going to be the most helpful person out of the two staff members I have, the other being me. lol

I was origionally using paid hosting but I had it for free for about 3 month because it was a deal with somebody, but I hated the DirectAdmin panel and just couldn't stand parts of it like the e-mail system kept stopping and I think they kept on deleting my index.php for some reason. So I decided to start my own hosting biz which will hopefully be launched or started in the next 2 weeks and I also made a hosting discount, pilots of my VA would get 25% off any package if they joined, flew at least 5 hours in total and also flew 2 long haul flights (2 hours each). But after the ad banner being on my va site afew hours later, my site was shut down because they had heard of Hosting Cove, so I have lost all my files, I just hope that Hosting Cove goes alright in the first month because part of that money will be spent on making Golden Airways better too.

Well, ahh. lol Its funny you should ask that because about a week ago I sort of lost my whole website, but my web address is www.goldenairways.co.uk for in a few weeks when its back up again. Thats why I now erge people to backup their sites on their PC now.

How are people promoting their virtual airlines? I know mine has only been up for about 2-3 weeks, now I have lost my website files as you may of read, but everybody elses va is more popular.

From what I remember my va had this: Pilots: 3 Flights: 2 Hours: Over 24hrs because I did a uk-australia flight. Its around that but I have lost my entire site for a few weeks.

If there was an option for it then it wouldn't.

What about RSS. A flight simulator forum I have has a news rss feed from another website so it can probably be done, I might look into rss feeds when rebuilding my VAs website too. But I am not completly sure how to make an RSS feed.

I may be wrong but on the frontpage.tpl (something like that) in the core/templates folder, isnt there a thing where it says newsbox or something. I am just saying this from memory as all my VA has gone, I need to rebuild it but I am just assumming that its it.

I thought you were being serious from that first line. lol But it is a good skin, not my style personally but it is very good. Just different colour opinions. I may be colour blind but it doesn't mean I have no colour combination opinions. lol

What I did was got the compressed folder onto my web hosting then extracted it from there as to extract it then put it on the website, that takes ages. lol And used the built in file manager, I prefer that as I can just do quick ajustments to the scripts and other stuff then.

How do you get that gallery which opens a javascript window (in the page) and you can cycle through them by clicking the left or right? They look good.
