Well, I have not messed with it again since I posted this earlier. Been taking care of the baby and all. What I was wanting to do was make it so that next to each category name for example: FS9 Fleet it would checkj my usergroup and if I was an admin it would then show me FS9 Fleet [Edit] | [Delete] | [Add Download] and if I was a regular user (non admin) it would simply show the category name only. I tried it the way I originally had it and it worked per the code he gave. The extra pages that were clicked on to edit or add were uglier than ape, but they worked as far as I could tell. I guess it is just as easy to go to the admin panel. Was just trying to be lazy is all and try something new. Really, I am messing with the code in the system trying new things so I can learn how it all works. I have pulled off a few little stunts on my own so far that have worked out so figured it wouldn't hurt to give this one a try either

;D It's all good man. You got so much other stuff going on, I thought this was just going to be a future maybe request. Great job man.

Server moves are always fun. I just moved 12 websites off of mine before I shut it down. I hate having to do all that. Now to find a cheapo reseller so I can get mine back on a domain instead of a sub ;D
-
Thanks Adam. I'll give it a go. With backups first of course
-
Yeah that actually worked but busted up the template real bad. I can refine it to make it work for my template. Thanks again Tom. I appreciate it.
-
Yeah... Let me give that a try right quick. Thanks Tom

Hi everyone. I have a quick question if I may. I have not done very much stuff in the past using echo. I always shyed away from it. I have edited my downloads page in my template I call Crystal 2 to match the admin downloads list. Now on to my question. I want it to know if it is an admin or a regular user. If it IS an admin I want it to display this info. <span style="font-size: 8pt">[<a id="dialog" class="jqModal" href="<?php echo SITE_URL?>/admin/action.php/downloads/editcategory?id=<?php echo $category->id?>">Edit</a>] | [<a class="ajaxcall" action="deletecategory" id="<?php echo $category->id?>" href="<?php echo SITE_URL?>/admin/action.php/downloads">Delete</a>] | [<a id="dialog" class="jqModal" href="<?php echo SITE_URL?>/admin/action.php/downloads/adddownload?cat=<?php echo $category->id?>">Add Download</a>]</span> I know how to make it know if it an admin or not by using if(Auth::LoggedIn()) { if(PilotGroups::group_has_perm(Auth::$usergroups, ACCESS_ADMIN)) { CONTENT WOULD GO HERE } ?> I have tried several ways to get this to work with no success. Can anyone give me a hand with this? It would really be appreciated. And this code if successful would allow an admin to edit downloads and add without having to go to the admin panel every time. Like If I found a simple typo or something I could fix it right then and there. Here is my page currently as it sits right now. So right next to category name, it would have [Edit] | [Delete] | [Add Download] If I figure it out, I will come back and delete or mark this as solved. Thanks P.S. So I'm a dork. This should be moved to Skinning please. Sorry Nabeel

hi guys, Been away for a few days and come back to a couple new builds. I read that there was some login issues and session management. Was going to upgrade today if this has all been resolved. Is it officially safe to upgrade now? ;D
-
thats cool Nabeel. will it move them back to active if they ever come back and file a pirep? I think this is going to be a cool feature either way. That was quick. I didn't expect anything like this for a while. Good job man!
-
Ok Nabeel. Sorry if I had you confused. I figured a couple screenies would help out.
-
No probs Adam. Like I said, that is VERY rough code that was tossed together in a couple minutes. :-[ Try it and skin it to your liking and I'm sure you will be happy. ;D
-
yeah I did file a pirep via ACARS after I put it on site. I'll do another today just in case and recalculate. I'm sure it will work. Thanks for the quick reply.

I got mine to work without creating a module. All the functions are now in phpVMS that are shown in the pic on the front page. Mine is basic basic now but works. What I did was placed the frontpage_main.tpl from core templates into my skin so it would not be written over in updates. I have added something liek this to make it work. <h3>VA Statistics</h3> <p>Total Pilots: <?php echo StatsData::PilotCount(); ?></p> <p>Total Flights: <?php echo StatsData::TotalFlights(); ?></p> <p>Total Flights Today: <?php VastatsData::totalflightstoday(); ?></p> <p>Total Flight Hours: <?php echo StatsData::TotalHours(); ?></p> <p>Total PAX Carried: <?php VastatsData::totalpaxcarried(); ?></p> <p>Total Fuel Burned: <?php VastatsData::totalfuelburned(); ?></p> <p>Total Miles Flown: <?php VastatsData::totalmilesflown(); ?></p> <p>Total Aircraft: <?php VastatsData::totalaircraftinfleet(); ?></p> <p>Total Schedules: <?php VastatsData::totalschedules(); ?></p> <p>Total News Items: <?php VastatsData::totalnewsitems(); ?></p> I know all the P's are not necessary. I just hacked it together lastnight in a few minutes. But something like that will get you on your way. I just looked way to far into it and tried and tried to create a module and never actually had to. :-[ Try doing something like I did in the frontpage_main.tpl if using crystal or a copied crystal and it should work. And obviously you will need to skin it and recode to suit your needs.

Figured I would give this a try Using Beta version 779 I get the following Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/paranorm/public_html/phpVMS/lib/skins/crystal2/lstats.tpl on line 9 Pilot ID Arrival Field Touchdown Rate And in the admin, I added that line of code as well and it shows up great. But it says the rate of touchdown is 0 even after filing a pirep after install and recalculating everything as a last ditch effort. It is a bare bones kit as supplied. I have not done any mods to it at all.
-
Yeah, I was guessing they were. I wasn't sure if we still had to create a module for this to work or what. The whole module thing has me running in circles I'm afraid. After loads of cussing and face turning red, I am finally getting results to show up on the page. Not pretty, but it's a start

Well, it wasn't me that was doing anything wrong, It was the software not liking my computer is all. I just don't care for their ATC it is not gate to gate like eSkyWorld used to be before they closed up shop years ago. I guess it is just personal preference. And Nabeel, there are many networks out there to choose from. Obviously the big V is the biggest one around and always has been. Westcoast used to be huge but it has fizzled out over the years. RWATC is a new site. The current owner of it owned esky and shut ti down to open up on a platform that uses squawkwin and squawk radar instead of fshost and fsnav. Some are better than others. And some are so strict it is just not fun. I like to fly at a place that is layed back and relaxed where you can have fun playing a video game. Some of them act like this is real life, when all we actually have here is nothing more than Mister Rogers and the land of make believe. But hey, it's all in fun! So keep the blue side up fellas!

Just to clarify, it is the hours in the header where it shows the pilot info after they login. And I am using Beta 779 That one is in the header obviously. And this one, is in the pilot center Notice the hour differences? ;D Ok off to bed I go. Have a great night everyone.
-
Ok I did notice this, After I flew a flight today, on the Crystal Template in beta version, it shows my hours as 16.66. It does NOT update with transfer hours. However, it is fully updated in the Pilot Center. Got to run to the store real quick, but will come back and post screenies if needs be.
-
I don't like the big VAT. It took me 6 hours to connect there for the first time and I never went back. I do all my flying at RWATC and Westcoast ATC
-
Yeah I have never found a utility to do that. I have been flying on simulator in one way or the other since it ran on Dos and I have yet to ever run across that kind of utility. Would be REALLY nice though. ;D
-
That worked! Thanks. I appreciate it. Ray

The ones I jsut gave him says FSInn 13B2_3 and FS Copilot 17B2_4 what ever that means. I do not have them installed right now So I can't be sure to be honest.
-
Info sent via PM both dloads are ready for you to grab Nabeel And Yeah I believe Vatsim has a link to FSInn, but wasn't sure about CoPilot.
-
Ok Nabeel. I got you covered. I am uploading to my site now and FS INN as well. I'll send you a link to both dloads via PM. I cant post public due to bandwith. I am borrowing a subdomain right now until I can get a good reseller. I just recently gave up my server due to low amounts of work and couldnt afford it any more.
